The so-called Carritos chocones, were one of the main attractions of the mechanical park that every year visited the beautiful town where I grew up, in the month of May the fairs are held in this beautiful town and people from different parts of the country come to have fun and share with the family, During this month many traders (buhoneros) move to this part of the country to offer their great variety of products at affordable prices, the institutions in charge of the fair organize these traders in front of the river in mobile premises (usually tents), where the population comes to observe and buy mostly clothing, footwear and household utensils.
Los llamados Carritos chocones, constituían uno de los principales atractivos del parque mecánico que cada año visitaban el hermoso pueblo donde crecí, en el mes de mayo se celebran las ferias en este lindo pueblo y aceden persona de diferentes partes del país a divertirse y compartir en familia, durante este mes muchos comerciantes (buhoneros) se trasladan a esta parte del país para ofrecer su gran variedad productos a precios accesibles, las instituciones encargadas de la feria organizan a estos comerciantes frente al Río en locales móviles (generalmente carpas), donde la población acude a observar y comprar en su mayoría ropa calzado y utensilios para el hogar.
Besides the visit of the hawkers, I think the most awaited by the children was the mechanical park for its various attractions such as the little worm, the star, the airplanes, flying chairs, horses and my favorites the bumper cars, it was fun to ride these cars and it took some skill to drive and to move between the other cars, the fun ended when the bell rang announcing that the 7 or 10 minutes were over and we had to leave to make way for the other children who were anxiously waiting in line.
This image brings back beautiful childhood memories, playing with my sisters and friends at the mechanical park and at the end of the day our prize was a delicious cotton candy that came in two colors, blue and pink, it was the most sold candy of the fair and we also had to wait in line to buy it but it was worth waiting and enjoying this delight.

Además de la visita de los buhoneros, creo que el más esperado por los niños era el parque mecánico por sus diversas atracciones como el gusanito, la estrella, los aviones, sillas voladoras, caballitos y mis favoritos los carros chocones, era muy divertido montar estos carros y se necesitaba cierta destreza para manejar y poder avanzar entre los otros carros, la diversión terminaba cuando sonaba la campana anunciando que los 7 o 10 minutos habían finalizado y teníamos que salir para dar paso a los otros niños que ansiosos esperaban en la fila.
Esta imagen me trae lindos recuerdos de infancia, jugando con mis hermanas y amigos en el parque mecánico y al final de la jornada nuestro premio era un delicioso algodón dulce que venía en dos colores azul y rosado, era la golosina más vendida de la feria y también tocaba hacer fila para comprarla pero valía la pena esperar y disfrutar esta delicia.
