TRAINS AND DONKEYS ALONG THE COUNTRY LANE

Today I came across some trains and donkeys while driving around quiet country lanes in the area around the town called Zminj, about fifty kilometers from where I live.

The weather was nice and sunny, some friends were in the car with me, and we had plenty of fun on this little trip.

The colorful little trains parked by a large repair shop weren't made for the railroad. Their wheels have rubber tires on them.

These cartoonish trains are made for slow scenic tours. They usually drive through forest parks and along seaside promenades. A train like this can be seen on the beaches of my hometown in summer.

While preparing this post, I found out that Dotto is an Italian brand that designs and produces only these little tourist trains and is successfully doing it since 1966. After taking a couple of shots ...

... we continued along the narrow lane bordered by dense vegetation.

The next stop was five or six kilometers further, where we saw this tall wooden construction.

Before this close encounter, I saw the thing only on the pages of the brochures displayed in travel agencies around my hometown. This is a part of the place called Adrenalin park. You can climb and do various adventurous exercises on various similar structures in the park. I saw only this one at the entrance, and another one similar fifty meters further. Don't know what other surprises the park offers for adrenaline seekers.

After some more driving, ten kilometers or so ...

... someone noticed the donkeys ...

... so we stopped again.

Two donkeys were grazing the fresh springtime grass on the edge of the plowed field ...

... while this trio, on the opposite side of the fenced property ...

... was busy feeding on the dried-out food served under the Carob tree.

These two Eurasian jays were photographed on the upper branches of that tree.

We spent an hour or so there ...

... walking around the fence and observing the animals.

This shot was taken when we were ready to go in the car. Soon we were driving back home.

AND THAT'S IT. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK - THE END.
