I am a really big fan of wrestling and when WWE released Cameron Grimes I was so sad. He has been with the company for five years, and it was hard to see him go.
However, what really made me happy was the fact that the fans and other wrestlers including legends like Matt Hardy and Shane Helms rallied behind him.
Just recently, Matt Hardy posted a short clip on his twitter page showing an encounter with Grimes in TNA days when he went by Trevor Lee in 2016.
It was an amazing fight and it brought some satisfaction to my face after seeing Hardy share that moment.
Similarly, Shane Helms who was also on this match reacted using laughing emojis as well as heart-shaped ones which showed his support too.
However, what really amazed me was the heartfelt message sent by Matt Hardy to Cameron Grimes following his release. He expressed how much he admired the love and zeal that Grimes had for wrestling and how such hitches can be tough. Hardy advised Grimes to consider this as an opportunity for self growth also reminding him that there are still great things ahead of him.
These are the moments that make me even love wrestling more. It is a difficult business, but it is always amazing to see wrestlers holding on one another鈥檚 hands regardless of the fact that they do not belong to the same company anymore. This shows us that there is certainly something beyond what they do in the ring which somehow connects them together.
He also gave an emotional video message announcing his release from WWE. It was difficult to see him speak about leaving the company that he has been with for many years.
Although what amazed me, is that he still showed positivity while thanking all the fans who supported him and expressing his enthusiasm at the future.
I鈥檝e always liked Cameron Grimes, and I honestly think he will do amazing things going forward whether it鈥檚 another wrestling organization or something else entirely.
And when wrestlers such as Matt Hardy reach out to him with kind words of encouragement, this only strengthens my faith in that idea.
Ultimately, wrestling is more than just what happens inside the squared circle; it involves a community, mutual connections and relationships that evolve during the game.
Moreover, when Cameron Grimes undergoes a challenging phase such moments are touching as wrestling fraternity unite to cheer him.
I can only wish Cameron Grimes nothing but the best in his future undertakings and see what he has up his sleeve.
Also, thanks to Matt Hardy and those who have seen it fit to be there for him because they have reminded us on the true meaning of wrestling.
