Over the weekend members of the the @Wrestleorgonline and HIVE community were privée to the Sit-down with Sonny 2 AMA held at Wrestlecon in Los Angeles, California.
The communities were able to ask Sonny Onoo a lot questions, learn more about the legendary manage, get some more insights on the past and current wrestling world, and even take a few notes on how to negotiate.
Outside of the AMA, I was more so intrigued by the intangibles during and after the event. To see @Bookerman intact with people as well as wrestlers on the same level as he does with us in the discord and on twitch was amazing. His dedication to not only the WOO but wrestling as a whole is easily seen as dozens of wrestlers shared some time in the evening with him catching up and or just to see how he’s been while taking a quick picture with him.
His empathy for people in general can be heard and read through his post and the overall mission statement of WOO, “leaving the wrestling business better than we found it”, but to see it in real time was really cool (and made me EVEN MORE bullish for the project).
We have a lot of different personalities on HIVE and balancing them all is tough due to culture, language, and finances. But to do it in wrestling where egos and status are in the mix and still come out on top is a great feat.
Out side of giving us another afternoon to host the 2nd Sitdown with Sonny Onoo, later in the day we were able to see Booker with WWE/WCW/ECW wrestlers Ivory, D-von Dudley, Ultimo Dragon, Medusa, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Billy Gunn, Mick Foley, and many more. To many it may seem like a few pictures, but to me its a great deal of social proof that Booker is not just passionate about wrestling, but about (creating long lasting relationships with) people and thats a rare thing to see in crypto.
