Land 3-1-3: The Teeming Urban Circuit

🤼 Overview, odds & stats

The 7-star with everything but Wealth. Could be retrofitted for passive income, or turned into a solid freelance wrestler farm. Your odds of pulling any 7-star are 12% or about 1 in 8. There are six 7-star combos, so this exact NFT's odds are roughly 1 in 48.

🤔 Interpretation

Max base population + max base Fans = Max base Fan population (it's simple math! 😉). 10,000 Fans to start with is ginormous. These sheer numbers make things nice for you. The annoyance with this NFT is that everyone's poor. You might have big shows, but they'll make significantly less than if the combo was 2-star Wealth + 2-star Fans.

At least, at baseline. But the low Wealth also limits how many upgrades you can apply (and you'll probably need a few just to build a sizeable venue). So my instinct is you use your limited upgrades to go in one of two directions: either boost up the show spend via Fan quality or Wealth upgrades... or just hammer on freelance wrestler drop rate upgrades.

🕹️ Strategies

1️⃣ Freelancer wrestlers. 3-star Fans means you have a max base boost to whatever the drop rate odds are for getting the freelance wrestler NFTs. I am unsure just how the Training Center building (aka upgrade) impacts the base, but it surely won't hurt it. If there's a multiplicative effect, then you stand to do some serious odds improvement.

2️⃣ Passive income. Passively earning $WOO comes from other organizations running shows on your land. They'll only do this if your land is attractive enough for their current situation in the game (potential winnings, venue capacity, etc.). You can appeal to the potential winnings angle (which improves your cut as host) in several ways. My perspective is to prioritize Fans, as they will inject way more Wealth into shows than People. People block Wealth by being cheapskates. Upgrades that make Fans spend more, arrive faster, or arrive more often are all to be considered!

3️⃣ Trading. The floor at time of writing is $65. That feels a little low for an uncommon 7-Star with two Stats maxed... but then again Wealth is likely the biggest factor in passive potential. I'd probably wait for the game meta to be fully laid out before betting that $65 was a good deal... unless all the packs were to be sold out or something. Lots can happen in this space of ours, often in the span of weeks or even days. So of course, DYOR and stay vigilant!

🏝️ Land characterization

These are the poor 'burbs and rundown neighborhoods surrounding a major city. The municipalities that border big rich nexuses. Tons of people live here, and subcultures abound. This melting pot of humanity is also pressure cooker, creating both tension and innovation. One of the dominant subcultures is territory wrestling—you can find venues, stores, training centers, clubs, and more on nearly every block. People stream in from the cities to fill gritty yet entertaining matches. The aspiring organization manager will need to decide on a niche: recruitment, or low-margin profits on high-volume shows.

WOO skews a normal distribution to make high-stat land harder to pull (makes sense, right?) The most common pull is a 6-star land, with 7 different ways the stars could be configured.
