An Excerpt From 'The Gods and their Followers'

Among the numerous Gods that are so revered by humanity and the other variety of species that populate Eden, one that is cherished by all and worshipped by many is the great goddess of health and healing, Galeynis. Regularly depicted as a Valkyrie atop a golden mallard, her followers can often be found bearing her holy symbol, the silver duckling, Restitious.

It is well known amongst religious scholars, as it is amongst the civilised population at large, that Galeynis’ miracles are frequent and very much observable, unlike those of the more surreptitious gods such as Gal Gorrar (the goddess of trade and wealth) and Berrit (the god of freedom). Her followers have channelled her power to heal the blind, cure the frail and malignant, and even bring those thought once lost to the great aether back to the physical plane.

Sightings of Galeynis are infrequent: followers have been recorded to see her during intense prayer or during their most holy of holidays The Healing Frost, but her visage is almost never seen by the common folk. On a cold winters day in the hills of Eastern Gwynffordd, people have reported sightings of a golden duck guiding its silver ducklings across the forest, although this has never been corroborated by photography or videography.
