My photos for the letter U are all pretty self explanatory, but I wanted to include a bit of information about the mosaics in the last photo that I used for 'upstairs'.
Louis Comfort Tiffany is renowned for his work in stained glass, but in the Marquette Building in Chicago’s Loop are examples of his work in other media.
The 1895 'upstairs' murals depict important scenes from the life of the building’s namesake, French explorer Jacques Marquette.
If you are ever in Chicago, go inside the Marquette Building and take a look!
