Lily pads
These Lily pads are on the Mondeaux Flowage up in Northern Wisconsin where we used to own a cabin on the lake. It is in the Chequamagon National Forest and the Ice Age trail is nearby. It was a quiet peaceful spot to spend time.
Library
This is a photo of the charming little library in the central New York town where my aunt and uncle lived.
Lion
A lion carved from wood on an antique Circus Wagon in the Circus Museum in Baraboo, Wisconsin. It is where The Ringling circus had their headquarters and wintering grounds until 1918.
Log Cabin
In this land where trees were plentiful building with logs was the method many early settlers used to erect shelter in the wilderness.
Lighthouse
The Cana Island Lighthouse is on Lake Michigan in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. The island is connected to the mainland by a bit of a narrow natural causeway and you can walk to it if you are prepared to get your shoes wet if the waves kick up!
Ladder
A ladder in my living room being used by my kids as they were decorating for a birthday party they arranged for me! They wanted it to be a surprise, but obviously I noticed!
