After almost 8 years, I am finally at home sweet home💃💃💃
The last I came home was when I was pregnant with my youngest one. Fast forward 8 years later, now that the youngest one finally got to visit Sibu, Sarawak at Malaysia, he is super thrilled. I was of course veryyyyy excited. I miss home, the place I grew up. I miss my parents.
It started at 2:30pm. We departed from our house at KL to airport. Thank you @danielwong brother-in-law who fetched us to the airport.
At Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2
It was our first time flying from KLIA2. In the past, we usually flew from KLIA1. So many shops at KLIA2 now. I only took photo of a few because there are too many. And these are only at Level 3.
Walking towards the departure section to find kiosks for bag tags printing.
Just found out one day ago after asking guidance from my sister-in-law @happycrazycon that check-in baggages had to be done online and preferably to print out boarding pass prior to our arrival at airport. Even to drop off check-in baggages is all self-service.
Posing with the huge time board announcement
I love some greens that are incorporated between buildings.
I needed some oxygen so I stayed here awhile for some air and wind. Saw many people taking photo here too.
We were early and we had 3 hours more to hang out before we proceeded to the boarding gate. Then, we decided to hang out and to eat our early dinner at Hometown Hainan Coffee. Husband needed to get some work done and the boys wanted to have some screen time.
Poached Chicken Rice
I always love their poached chicken rice aka Hainanese Chicken Rice. This dish was well done from the poached chicken to the soy sauce seasoning to the ginger paste and chilli sauce.
My oldest son ordered fish and chips for himself. A big overfried but the portion was big.
The youngest son didn't feel like eating a big meal but he wanted something light. So I walked around and found Haruka.
Haruka bakery
I bought a box of 6 egg tarts and the boss gave me a cake as free gift. And a voucher too to thank me for supporting her. She said business wasn't good.
6pm
We had all done with my super early dinner and time to start walking to the boarding gate. Eventhough our flight was at 7:25pm, but our boarding time was 6:45pm. It was advised to start walking because we gotto go through immigration checking to scan our bags and even our spectacles, watches, and belt. And handphone.
Queueing up to check our flight tickets before entering
Walking towards our boarding gate at J7
Loving the walkalator as well as the umbrellas isle. And so many eateries here as well.
At J7 boarding gate.
It was our favourite alphabet J. Because all of our names start with J. Our favourite number too. Perfect.
Airplane-theme washroom
Our flight was delayed for 40 minutes. Instead of boarding at 6:45pm, we boarded at 7:40pm. The boys were a bit tired due to 4-hour waiting, and another two more hours in the flight, but they were big enough to self-comfort themselves.
We were seated at the second last row.
We tried to nap but the plane was a bit shaky due to lightning and raining, so I became conscious of the surrounding and kept my eyes open. My youngest one couldn't nap too because of the lights on and off, followed by a few baby or toddler crying. So he made do with his Tetris console.
At 9:50pm
Not sure how the pilot flew the plane, but it was fast. A two-hour flight became one hour 50minutes. Thank God we landed safely despite the initial rain and thunder and turbulence.
After queueing for facial and identity verification, luggages pick up, we reached my parents' home at 11pm. So happy to see my mummy and daddy. So happy to be at home. All of us took turn to bathe and settle down. And the boys had started to enjoy the home and TV. Going to be many days of great time spend here.
