as we live right by the harbor, fog is not uncommon here. typically when we do have fog it comes in the night and persists through the morning until the warmth of the sun burns it away. it is much rarer to get fog late in the day. however one particular summer day a while back the fog rolled in the late afternoon and started to clear just before sunset. the sun was partially breaking through behind us, creating unique views of the boats, the docks, and the footbridge. then the fog would thicken until the sun returned highlighting another section of the harbor.
