Phonography/Phone Photography Contest 06 - When Life Throws Thorns Hunt For Roses

Welcome everyone to the 8th edition of the Phonography / Phone Photography Contest hosted by @untilwelearn. If you love taking photographs with your cell phone, this is challenge for you. Check out the contest post here. Do read up and join in this fun and feel good contest.

About over a year ago my wife and I bought a long-stemmed rose plant. At that time we had a lot of rose plants but were of the small and short-stemmed variety and their flowers were really small. A friend called them fairy roses. We wanted roses that were bigger and with long stems for a change. We were really excited about how we were going to propagate it so we can have more. So you can imagine our joy when the first bud opened and bloomed. It was a thing of great beauty.

They say "There will be many flowers in one's life. But there will only be one rose." It is a quote from an anonymous person just as the title of this post is also a quote from another anonymous person. There is something about the rose that makes one forget his miseries and difficulties. That is why it is always associated with love because as they also say, "Love conquers all."

And even at twilight time, when the day is about to end and the night is just starting, the rose still stands out in the garden.

The queen of the garden has just shown its beauty. And what a joy to behold.

I would like to thank our host and the two lovely ladies, @melinda010100 and @barbara-orenya, who have given their full support to ensure this challenge becomes a success. Let us all look for roses when life becomes difficult. And when we do, we will realize that all we need is love.
