to the given words rock and stripes i add my personal keyword chair.
this is the view from our garden patio overlooking the harbor.
the red and white stripes are formed by the snow sticking to the horizontal paneling of the house. that house is the only remaining boat shack from the days when there was a thriving fishing community here. happily it is now restored and is a protected historical building!
the rocks covered in snow are the top part of a stone wall bordering our property and forming a public overlook a little higher than our patio. our patio furniture is also covered in snow but the chair is still clearly visible though less inviting than in the summer months. it would be better if you could stop by in warmer weather so we can have a chat over coffee and enjoy the view- but the stripes will be long gone by then.
