January Weather Review From My Own Weather Station + Weather Game Round 5

The first month of 2023 is over and it's time to give a look at the weather in January.
Also, let's see who won the weather game round 4. It was an exceptionally bad month in terms of snow, unfortunately. When some snow fell, it melted the day after again and again. At this moment we stand in the same situation and we have 0 cm of snow in my area. You had to guess the amount of we at this time. Well, the winner is @wrestlingdesires, congratulations!! Your guess was the closest, 4.5cm. 10 HIVE will be sent to you.

Also thank you @cryptopaddy801, @malos10 and @eolianpariah2 for participating. Don't forget to participate in round 5.

Weather Game Round 5

In round 5 you have to guess the MINIMUM temperature of February. Sometimes February can be the coldest month of the year so it will be interesting to see. My monthly summary of January below might give you an indication of what the temperature can be in February.

As always, the closest guess will win 10 HIVE at the start of the next month when I have the February results.
One guess per person.
The game is open until the 17th for your guesses.

So, give me your wild guess of how cold will it get this month, lets's go!

January weather review

We had weather what I call shit winter weather, hardly any snow and often mud everywhere. All the data comes from my own weather station on the roof. The graphs you see down below are created from the recorded data.

Temperature and humidity

As you can see, most of the time temperature was near 0C, hence the shit weather the past month. The warmest temperature happened on the first second of the month, 5.3C ( 41.5F). We had one cold period in the first half of the month when the temperature reached as low as -14C ( 6.8F ) on 7th January. You have to guess the lowest temperature in February now.
The average temperature in January was -1.1C ( 30F ).

The lower graph is the humidity graph with the average humidity being 90%.

Solar energy and UV radiation.

Still very low but as days are starting to get longer fast, as is the solar energy and the graph shows the rising trend.
Only one day when we got a UV reading of 1 on the 28th of January. In total, we got only 3 sunny days in January. Ugh, I miss sunshine so much. Fortunately, February tends to have more sunny days on average.

The yellow line is Solar energy and the blue line is UV.

Rainfall

We had much more rainfall than snow this month, especially in the middle of January as you can see. In total 33.3mm of rain fell (1.31in).

The upper graph shows you rainfall intensity and the lower graph the accumulation of rainfall during the week and month.

Wind

Pretty windy month on average, especially the first half of the month as you see. The strongest wind gust was 19.4 m/s ( 43.4 mph ) on the 15th of January. The average January wind speed was 6.1 m/s ( 13.6 mph ). Most of the wind blew from the south.

The upper graph shows you the wind speed and the lower graph is the wind direction.

Air Pressure

Air pressure fluctuated quite much in January. Recording the highest reading of 1041.3 Hpa on the 22nd and the lowest reading a bit later of 976.2 Hpa on the 30th of January. The low pressure brought some really bad weather for us, the high pressure was the opposite.

So, let's see what February has in store. Next review in a month.
