If the only time we remember all the wrongs that should have been made right
The moment we wish to have taken a different track and perhaps life would have taken a different turn.
Forgotten promises and covenants that should have been fulfilled and new ones that should have been made.
If it's only when death comes knocking on our door or the signs are being shown to us that we remember all those things we should have made right and all the promises that should have been fulfilled then we are doom for failure.
If the only time we reverence the Lordship of Jesus Christ is when troubles and tribulations look right into our eyes or stare at our faces, sorry to ask but who are we really fooling?
Who are we fooling? When we were doing very well with good and sound health yet we remembered not our God?
When we had the energy and strength to serve God yet we were busy running around with our businesses and what concerns and pleases us?
When we were enjoying the blessings and favour of our Lord forgetting that whatsoever he gives, he takes.
Who are we fooling when troubles come knocking and we run to our creator?
Who are we fooling when we have exhausted all our youthful strength and then coming back to become a burden ourselves, claiming to serve the Lord?
Who are we fooling with the lifting of our hands to receive when we couldn't lift the same hands to give when it was required of us?
You see, God is not a man but he has made it known to us that he (God) is a jealous God.
Whatever we do we should always remember who our God is.
Sure! Our God is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in mercy.
But remember thou also that he is a consuming fire.
In all our doings and all our dealings, we should remember our God and serve him in our youthful age.
Not when we are on the verge of death, that we are compelled to do so.
