Tragic Ends

I personally know a person who tried to commit suicide a few months ago, and it did not succeed. I believe it did not succeed because God was not yet ready for it.

At 9 am Wednesday, February 2, 2021, the boy was called to the VC's office for an online debate. The boy was on-campus suspended for five days. The following week, he was called back to the office for the same issue. At that time, the threats of countless teachers and administrators in the office became irresistible for the 18-year-old boy. University sent a note to the boy's 9 o'clock class to return to the office. Instead of going to the office, he continued his day as if nothing had happened. But inside, he has already gone too far.

He wrote a letter to his family that day telling them of his plans and stuffed his red nylon jacket pocket. The letter was full of turmoil and unfulfilled dreams. Instead of tutoring, the boy walks around his university campus to come to a last-minute decision. At 4 pm that day, the boy was walking down a busy street in traffic and was waiting for the perfect time to end his short life.

From out of nowhere, the boy's body drifted backward. He ends up in a random house on a street that he never did. With tears streaming down his cheeks, the boy knocked on the first door he saw. A young woman named Shahida opened the door. She stared at the 6-foot black boy in amazement, terrified by the tears on his face. The boy wanted water, and Mrs. Shahida came back outside with a big bottle of ice-cold water. She asked if he wanted to talk, and he said no. An hour later, he finally spoke to that kind woman.

Mrs. Sahida called the police a few minutes later, and the boy was taken to a mental hospital. His parents came to see him, and they all talked about what happened and how it happened. The boy stayed overnight there and was sent home the following day. That Saturday, the boy, his mother, and his father took a bouquet to Mrs. Sahida's house to thank her for saving their son's life. He now realizes that the effects of his death would have been much more significant.

However, he sees now, from that moment on, things always get better. Suicide is not the answer; help is always available. Suicide hurts more than just acts; it affects everyone, Mentally, physically, and emotionally.
