You are prioritizing your happiness because no one can make you happy except yourself. You are the only creator of your satisfaction. All you have to do is keep yourself happy in any way you can. That's precisely what you're doing, increasing your happiness by keeping the most imminent person closer.

It is not bound to anyone. Free as a bird will do whatever it wants. There are no rules. You can enjoy every moment independently of your choice where no one has to intervene. However, I don't agree to give someone freedom without restraint because there is no one to intervene, the chances of making a mistake increase. There is no telling what is wrong and what is right. So it is crucial to have a proper responsible person in one's life. And you have a person who will guide you, keep you in charge, find the right path for you that will be good for you, bring happiness, give you freedom.
Imagine, you are leaving your country for a country you have been dreaming of since childhood. After a few hours, the plane will take you to the sky. You left home with a blessing from your parents, then left the birthplace passionately in a private car, yet did not look back. Because your dream is going to come true in a few hours, arrived at the airport after a four-hour journey, and at that desired time now, you boarded the plane, now the plane will take you to the skies for your dream country, and after a while, your new life will start. Feels good to imagine, huh?
