Negotiations are the part and parcel of our everyday life and we cannot lead a single moment of our life without negotiations.
It's a continuous process and never ending till our death even we will negotiate with our Allah to choose the haven if we have a chance!

Negotiations usually involve some give and take or compromise between the parties and it’s related to opportunity cost theory or something like that. It’s a method of argument by which people settle the differences without any dispute.

Negotiation is a strategic discussion between two or more people or parties to resolve the issue with a win win situation. It does not mean that one party is win and the other party is lose, in an effective negotiation both parties are win.

Specific forms of negotiation are used in many situations: international affairs, the legal system, government, industrial disputes or domestic relationships as examples.

Successful negotiation requires the two parties to come together and hammer out an agreement that is acceptable to both.

A good negotiator should have the following skills:
Problem Analysis to Identify Interests and Goals, Preparation Before a Meeting. Active Listening Skills. Keep Emotions in Check. Clear and Effective Communication. And Collaboration as well as Teamwork.

Emotion is an immense issue in Negotiations and emotion would be e.g. anger, sadness, disappointment, anxiety, envy, excitement, and regret as well which might affect the behavior of negotiators. According to Harvard Business “Bringing anger to a negotiation is like throwing a bomb into the process”. So be emotional with intelligence!

Now it’s time to focus on the negotiation’s stages, there are six stages which are given below:
Preparation, Discussion, Clarification of goals, Negotiation towards to win-win outcome, Agreement, and Implementation of a course of action.

Additionally, Negotiations has been taking place recurrently within the workplace and may occur between coworkers, departments or between an employee and employer. In a negotiation framework authorized personnel may handle the contract terms, project timelines, compensation and more. Sometimes organizations may hire a professional body to negotiate. Negotiations are both common and important, so it’s accommodating to comprehend the types of negotiations you might happenstance as well as how to improve your negotiation skills.
