After Part 1...

Turup Kisku still can remember the day when he met Iktru by the Tumbung falls. Sitting vigilantly the two souls were dreaming something big.

Iktru asked,

what's wrong?

Turup replied,

Nothing much to concern, but I've a strong feeling that the conflict will not bring any good to any of us!

I can't stop thinking about what I saw.

You are right. But we can't keep doing terrible things to each other. My feelings will not change.

We need to live without fear!

Wouldn't you want our kids to live under no such threat?

Our kids!

Turup was smiling and the girl was blashing.

It might happen that one day we have children.

And how will this happen?

Turup asks with a cold smile.

But this question made the situation gloomy as they both knew that it is impossible for them to marry and have kids as they belong to the same clan. Their love for each other doesn't have any value at all. They do not have the power to overthrow the established clan codes overnight.

They know it now. It's not their fault at all. What this free souls could do instead.

They remain silent and the Tumbrung falls was making it's soothing sound to overshadow the pain of these lovers. They remain silent for a while. Their heart fills with grief.

And the story continued. The old conflicts emerge; a men from Rajbongshi tribe gets involved killing another men from this Santal villlage.

So, the situation of peace among the nine villages and beyond came under a big red flag. On meeting day all the presence were discussing and eagerly waiting for the right decision which should be provided by the Clan leaders.

you, pig like creature! Your fellow men must stop the killing and frequent fights.

you, bloody beast! you must also stop.

All of them was talking loudly as it seems they were about to put it forward with a fight up next.

There's been too much blood spilt. We do not want more. See I am old now. You will grow old eventually. Think about your future folks. What message you want to deliver for you next generation? Huh!

An old man stand up and raises his hand uttering these words loudly and boldly.

Then, Turup's father; the clan leader stands up and the presence stops talking to each other. Because they knew and saw as well that the clan leaders were talking to each other on that issue for a long time.

We the clan leaders order to share the land on which the fight had started and grew eventually bigger.

Both of you will exchange pogs and fruits as a token of gratitude and open the path to peace.
But we can't compensate the loss of a men. We can't bring him back.

The holy men from Santal tribe added,

I had a dream last night. The Spirit Mother told me that our conflict between must end. She wants your people and my people to unite in peace.

Those days bride exchange between clans were a common practice to settle conflicts and burke blood sheds.

The chief of Rajbongshi tribe stands up and node his dead towards the audience.

So, we are moving towards a settlement, isn't it! I suggest your clan should offer a bride to the clan who just have lost a young lad in between. I know his your brother; a well grown up man of 20. Why not having a wife and make kids? What you say fellows!

Turup's father replied;

Iktru; a blood relative of mine; has just become a woman. Take her as a bride.

I accept your offer of the bride.

Turup was present at that meeting. Listening this he went mad all on a sudden. He never think of loosing Iktru ever. His heart overshadows with black clouds that holds the biggest thunderstorms the world have ever seen.

The meeting place become empty after the terminating speech by the clan leaders. But two souls never gets the opportunity to pursue their heart in calm. They remain sad.

And the story keeps going...

To be continued...

Thanks for your time.
