This is an uncalled action by the school board of Federal University of Technology, Minna. Popularly know as FUTMinna or FUTMx. A new circular came out last week proposing an increment in the school fees of students.
I don't know 🙍 why we make life difficult for one another, this set of people that bring about this increment are people that enjoy free education and many other free amenities by the government during their time. Why would they bring 70% increment in school fees when they know what the situation of the country is. Many students cannot feed themselves two (2) times a day 😔 and they still go on with their normal activities. Some are sponsoring themselves, no help from anywhere, all they have is God. How did they want students to cope. This is really unjustifiable.
Picture below stated the current and proposed fees. Which is no longer a proposed fees but now the current fees to be paid. The increment is about 70%. That's an outrageous increment which really need to be checked.
All of these were done without calling the student's representatives. And it is now on the school portal. All of this happen with a week 😲
