Hello, creative world and artist friends! Greetings. This entry is to show my respect and gratitude for World Environment Day. We must protect our beautiful planet by showing respect for the environment and understanding what is most important for everybody.
What is the environment?
The environment can be defined as the total of all living and non-living elements and their effects on human life. While all living or biotic elements are animals, plants, forests, fisheries, and birds, non-living or abiotic elements including water, land, sunlight, rocks, and air are all environmental factors. We, as humans, must protect and keep it healthy.
Vegetation is an important part of the environment and an easy way to balance the ecosystem is by planting trees and protecting the ones that are already there. Trees play a significant role in environmental conservation. They absorb carbon dioxide, reducing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and mitigating climate change. Additionally, they improve air quality by filtering pollutants and producing oxygen. Trees also help regulate water cycles, prevent floods and droughts, maintain water quality, provide habitats for countless species of plants and animals, promote biodiversity, prevent soil erosion, protect against natural disasters, and contribute to food security.
I created a symbol of an environmental tree as a wall decoration for my entry for the announced monthly contest from the #DIYhub community.
The materials I used:
A broken belt
wool light green dark green and darker green.
glue gun
scissors
cardboard from the post envelope.
some decorative beads.
First, open the envelope and flatten
Set a dish or any other element to make a circle.
Cut the circle using scissors.
Paint it with appropriate colors.
Keep it aside for drying.
In the beginning, I try to make green leaves like this.
Wrap each 25cm piece of wool over a small 2cm piece of cardboard.
after tying three colors make a coil. using the sewing needle and thread make a tight knot.
remove it from the cardboard piece.
Cut in the center using a cutter or scissors.
It looks like a flower.
Afterward, I found some easy methods to make those leaves.
Cut all three colors of wool in 25 cm length. around to make 16 flowers.3 colors x 16 =48 pieces of wool.
Hold three pieces in your hand.
Start wrapping the wool around the cardboard stripe. (2 cm wide)
After finishing wrapping use needle and thread to make a knot.
Tie it tightly. and remove from the cardboard stripe.
it looks like this.
Cut the coil from a center point.
Give the shape like a flower.
Make according to requirements. I had 16 that was enough.
Separate the strings from the belt can be used cloth strings or jute strings plastic strings. (The belt was old those strings started breaking it took little time for that.)
Try to put them on the blue cardboard circle.
using a glue gun fixes it as a tree structure.
according to the tree shape, weave some extra branches and fix them on the place.
The tree shape can be like this.
using a glue gun start fixing/gluing the green leaves and branches on the tree structure.
The tree looks nice but something missing.
Find some beads or buttons and glue them around the tree. fix some small details
and
Enjoy a Happy environmental day.
Thanks for stopping by.
