MAKING WALL ART FROM AFRICAN FABRIC

Good day everyone, Still in honour of the world culture and diversity day, I will be using our traditional African print fabric to make a wall art of the map of Africa.

MATERIALS

The materials we will need for this includes;

  • A white frame
  • Different peices of African prints fabrics
  • A silhouette image of a person
  • Gum
  • Scissors
  • Pencil.

PROCEDURES

STEP ONE: Carve out the outlines of the silhouette of a person to show all the outlines, like this

STEP TWO: Get a white frame, if you have one or use a strong carton sheet wrapped with white cardboard paper.

STEP THREE: Draw a faint outline of the map of Africa on one side of the frame like this

STEP FOUR: Rub some gum on the back of the silhouette image and glue it to one extreme end of the frame.

STEP FIVE: Pieces different African prints fabric using a scissors to a small size.

STEP SIX: Rub some gum on the part of the frame where you have drawn the African map and stick some of the peices you have cut around it. It should look like this

STEP SEVEN: Keep on sticking inside the map
