Para celebrar esta ocasión tan especial, he creado un conjunto de pendientes y gargantilla utilizando uno de mis materiales favoritos: las cremalleras. Es increíble lo hermosas que pueden ser las piezas que podemos hacer con un simple cierre y la satisfacción de darle una nueva vida a un material que normalmente se desecha.

Hello friends! I'm sorry I've been absent for a while, but I didn't want to miss the first anniversary of this beautiful community that has welcomed me with so much affection since its inception.
To celebrate this special occasion, I created an earrings and choker set using one of my favorite materials: zippers. It's amazing how beautiful the pieces we can make with a simple zipper can be and the satisfaction of giving a new life to a material that is usually thrown away.

Without further ado, here are the materials used and how this creation came to be.

Corté la cremallera, consiguiendo separar los dientes de la tela.
I cut the zipper, managing to separate the teeth from the fabric.
Marqué las cuentas de plástico en una tela rosa, las recorté y las pegué en la parte de atrás, ya que las cuentas son huecas por lo que así queda tapada, sólo lo hice por estética.
I marked the plastic beads on a pink fabric, cut them out and glued them on the back, since the beads are hollow so it is covered, I only did it for aesthetics.
Luego corté los dientes de la cremallera en tres partes de 7 centímetros cada una.
Then I cut the zipper teeth in three parts of 7 centimeters each.
Poco a poco la cuenta de color salmón claro la fui bordeando con la cremellera y la fui pegando con silicona, esto fue un trabajo de mucha paciencia porque tenía que esperar a que se secara bien para poder soltarla, porque cada vez que lo hacía si no estaba bien pegada se deshacía, así que hay que tener paciencia.
Little by little the light salmon colored bead was bordered with the cremellera and I was gluing it with silicone, this was a job of great patience because I had to wait for it to dry well to be able to release it, because every time I did it if it was not well glued it came undone, so you have to be patient.
La parte restante de la cremallera se utiliza para crear un redondel que sirve de adorno pero que también será el lugar donde se colocarán las anillas metálicas para sujetar la pieza.
The remaining part of the zipper is used to create a roundel that serves as an ornament but will also be the place where the metal rings will be placed to hold the piece.
La anilla se coloca con la ayuda de los alicates para unir el pendiente al gancho y la tercera pieza también se le coloca una anilla para unir esta pieza a la gargantilla, quedando los pendientes terminados y el colgante listo para colocar.
The ring is placed with the help of pliers to attach the earring to the hook and the third piece is also placed with a ring to attach this piece to the choker, leaving the earrings finished and the pendant ready to be placed.
Usé la tela de la cremallera para hacer la gargantilla, a lo largo del borde que corté para que no se deshiciera, le unté cola blanca y le di dureza al material, haciéndolo más resistente y por supuesto que no se deshilacha. Lo corté a una medida de 25 centímetros y los extremos más estrechos y con silicona pegué un anillo mucho más fuerte en un extremo y en el otro el broche, terminando la gargantilla.
I used the fabric from the zipper to make the choker, along the edge that I cut so that it would not undo, I smeared it with white glue and gave the material hardness, making it more resistant and of course it does not fray. I cut it to a measurement of 25 centimeters and the narrower ends and with silicone I glued a much stronger ring on one end and on the other the clasp, finishing the choker.
De los restos de la tela de la cremallera corté un rectángulo de 2 centímetros de largo por 0.5 centímetros de ancho, lo inserté en el anillo que le puse al colgante y lo pegué con cola blanca para no manchar la tela, esperé a que secó y todo el conjunto quedó terminado.
