I don't know if it has happened to you, but it happens that sometimes we have an idea of something creative and in our mind it seems simple, but at the time of materializing that project there is something that simply do not achieve accurately. Well that's my case, maybe I underestimated this bracelet design, which honestly is simple to make, but in the end the beads stubbornly opposed to be held by the tie strings.

No sé si les ha pasado, pero sucede que algunas veces tenemos una idea de algo creativo y en nuestra mente parece sencillo, pero al momento de materializar ese proyecto hay algo que simplemente no logran con precisión. Pues es mi caso, quizás subestimé este diseño de brazalete, que honestamente si es sencillo de hacer, pero al final las cuentas se oponían tercamente a ser sujetas por los hilos de amarre.

You will see that as I say the procedure is simple, and it is even possible that you have practiced this pattern, but after finally tying the last strands, I realized that the reason why I could not tie was because both tie strands were in the same direction and it is necessary that one is on the right side and the other on the left. To finish I was able to tie a strange knot and I was not very happy with the finish, but I was able to carry it out and learn from this process, that is what has real weight.

Verán que tal como les digo el procedimiento es simple, y hasta es posible que hayan practicado este modelo, pero después de finalmente amarrar los últimos hilos, puede darme cuenta que la razón por la que no podía amarrar era porque ambos hilos de amarre me quedaban en el mismo sentido y es necesario que uno quede del lado derecho y el otro del izquierdo. Para terminar pude hacer un nudo medio extraño y no quedé muy feliz con el acabado, pero pude llevarlo a cabo y aprender de este proceso, eso es lo que tiene verdadero peso.

I started with two center strands attaching them to a paperweight hook, top and bottom. On each thread I inserted about 18 beads interspersed with fuchsia Murano crystals and some clear smooth crystals that I love, they are one of my favorites.

Empecé con dos hilos centrales sujetándolos a un gancho pisapapeles, arriba y abajo. En cada hilo introduje unas 18 cuentas intercalando cristales de Murano fucsia y unos cristales lisos transparentes que me encantan, son de mis favoritos.

The tying thread is taken and half of it is placed, positioning it behind the central threads. I tied 3 knots that I had not practiced before. I don't know the name of this knot, maybe you do and can pass it on. An "S" is formed with the thread on our left and the thread on the right is brought to the front to be introduced through the ring that is formed with the bottom of the "S" and the central threads. Pulling both threads together forms a knot with a pronounced forward relief.

Se toma el hilo de amarre y se ubica la mitad, posicionándolo detrás de los hilos centrales. Realicé 3 nudos que no había practicado antes. No sé el nombre de este nudo, quizás ustedes sí y puedan transmitirlo. Se forma una “S” con el hilo que está a nuestra izquierda y el de la derecha se trae hacia el frente para introducirlo por el anillo que se forma con la parte de abajo de la ”S” y los hilos centrales. Al tirar de ambos hilos se forma un nudo con un relieve pronunciado hacia adelante.

We bring back the right tie thread embroidering the first two fuchsia crystals that we have brought upwards. We bring the thread to the front forming a diagonal line under the crystals. Now we bring up the translucent crystals and repeat the process of wrapping the thread around them from right to left and so on until all the crystals have been brought up.

Llevamos hacia atrás el hilo de amarre derecho bordando los dos primeros cristales fucsias que hemos llevado hacia arriba. Traemos el hilo hacia el frente formando una línea en diagonal debajo de los cristales. Ahora subimos los cristales traslúcidos y repetimos el proceso de rodearlos con el hilo de derecha a izquierda y así sucesivamente hasta terminar de subir todos los cristales.

We hold the tie thread with the paperweight below. Now we start in the opposite direction and it is worth clarifying this point because I did not take care to do it this way and I had a lot of difficulty to tie at the end and it is not as neat as I like. We edged taking only the first fuchsia crystal and then slightly tilting the thread up we edged a translucent crystal and a fuchsia one. This forms a nice triangle over the crystals. We tie the threads at the end and cut off the excess thread sealing the ends with the lighter.

Sujetamos el hilo de amarre con el pisapapeles de abajo. Ahora empezamos en sentido contrario y vale la pena aclarar este punto porque no tomé cuidado en hacerlo de esta manera y tuve muchísima dificultad para amarrar al final y no queda tan prolijo como me gusta. Bordeamos tomando solo el primer cristal fucsia y luego inclinando ligeramente el hilo hacia arriba bordeamos un cristal traslúcido y uno fucsia. Esto forma un bonito triángulo sobre los cristales. Amarramos los hilos al final y cortamos los excedentes de hilo sellando las puntas con el encendedor.
