El Go es un juego con mucha historia en su espalda, tiene su origen en China y ya una vida de alrededor de 4000 años. Es un juego del tipo abstracto, como el ajedrez o las damas. En un tablero de 19 x 19, 2 jugadores se irán turnando para poner fichas circulares de colores distintos, el objetivo es crear mayor territorio que el rival antes del final de juego, a su vez, si rodeas a sus fichas puedes capturarlas.

En mi caso conocí el juego gracias a un manga y anime llamado Hikaru no Go, donde narra la aventura de un niño llamado Hikaru, que sin querer acaba conociendo el fantasma de un antiguo jugador de Go, la historia me enganchó, al punto que lo habré releído completo más de 3 veces. Sin embargo, el juego me era inaccesible, ya que no conocía nadie quien lo jugara o supiera como entrar en ello. Eso cambió gracias a un amigo, que había tenido el mismo interés por la serie ya mencionada, el si conocía una comunidad local dedicada a ello, y me enseñó sobre el juego, sus reglas, la forma de competir y posiblemente la mejor herramienta que tengo a disposición actualmente, la página web online-go.

Y ya sobre el juego en si, al comienzo, me costó entender las reglas, no es un juego fácil de comprender al comienzo, pero poco a poco pude entender la estrategia. Aun así, es un juego con mucha profundidad por delante, y si bien he logrado llegar a los 11 kyu(medida de nivel en el juego), seguir avanzando es un estudio y juego constante. Es un juego que oculta mucha reflexión en sí, ya que muchos de los conceptos que se aplican al juego pueden aplicarse a la vida. Desde cuando ser agresivo, cuando ser defensivo, no empecinarse en una ventaja puntual sino en toda la partida, y mucho más.
