Week Two, Hit the Ground Running || Hand Symbols for Dreemport

We're in the second lap of the Dreemport marathon. Guess what? I am still running—hitting the ground and running! It's quite unbelievable for me because, damn, I shy away from things like this. I just like doing things solo and thriving in my own way. But you know the old saying, "Run alone if you want to go fast; run in packs and you'll get far." Something along those lines, anyway, but you get the scope.

It's been quite a thrilling experience for me. It's why I'd say this marathon has been a learning process for everyone, not just newbies. For what it's worth, I am doing more than I would normally do, which is mostly having fun and connecting with people and exchanging ideas with them.

I find this week to be quite exhilarating, and that's owing to the exciting tasks we have. One of them is what we're here for.

Origin story...

Dreem and her dreemcredible teem—pun unintended—brought to us the idea of having teams and their members come up with creative hand symbols to represent the team, emphasis on creative. Just like the commonly used ones, like peace and love, they would consist solely of hands and hands alone.

My team members, after spending decades and centuries in zen mode summoning ancient symbols, individually came up with a few. And, then, we voted for the ONE that would represent Team Flash. But before we get to the one that won, let me tell you about my mythical symbol.

First off, we can all agree that the fastest mode of transportation is air. And, basically, Team Flash is all about the juice in the speed, right? I thought and said to my teemies, "Why not fly and soar through this marathon together?" Hehe, not me campaigning to win. What a futile manifesto—because there was another entry that was undeniably spectacular.

Do you see what I want you to see? Yeah, that's invariably the symbol of a bird. And I even gave it a cheesy name and called it the Flash Falcon. I am sorry, but it was just me having fun. By the way, the universe seemed to be feeling me when I was trying to take a shot, and, voila, it sent a bird my way to feature in the photo. Catch it right up there, flying with me.

Now, for the official hand symbol, I bring to you the elegant symbol of @adetemi that she calls the Lotus Mudra, meaning it amplifies our self-love and our feelings of love for other living beings.

Other than its beautiful interpretation, I couldn't just deny how darn good it looked. I guess others felt the same when they cast their votes on it. And, without further ado, I bring to you za Lotus Mudra for the Team Flash hand symbol. drum rollss...

Beautiful, innit? I knew you'd like it as well. And that's it for Team Flash, our hand symbol for the Dreemport HHYM marathon.

Again, my excitement is unwavering, so I look forward to the more interesting and exhilarating things we'll do in the future. And that, dear reader, is a wrap on today's epidode of the... Thank you for reading!
