For so long that this meet-up had been planned, finally, it happened. At last, on May 21, 2023, the Hivers from Northern Cebu collide.
It was one surprising day that @indayclara decided to have our meet-up on the set date. My heart leaped for joy and excitement because it was my first time attending such an event in almost 2 years in Hive.
Days were approaching, yet the weather became uncooperative. So, @indayclara had a poll to choose whether we will push through or not. If I'm not mistaken, I was the last to vote for No, rain or shine, we should go. I was hesitant at first, but my hyperactive soul prevailed. So, let's go!
🌞The Day Has Come
Because of my excitement, I didn't have photos; while on my way to San Remigio🤣😭. Maybe because of the heavy rain? Or I didn't mind at all. I just enjoyed everything from the very beginning.
When we arrived at Half Moon, the first view that captured my eyes was the horizon of the sky and the sea, which was so calm and refreshing. While, @jobeliever, her family, and I waited for @indayclara to come for further instructions (It's like a teacher-and-student relationship.).heheh;@missjoyce and @selflessgem arrived. They immediately showed their food and asked if we had the materials for grilling pork. Ah, good timing (now we can borrow some materials needed for grilling); she arrived with @ybanezkim26. After a few moments came @simplechalyns with her family, @amoreyl,@dehai,@callmesmile, and @naymhapz. @mommyjane arrived in the afternoon.
At first, I was hesitant to talk with Sir Kim, but when he started the conversation, I felt relieved. I had the impression before that he was strict and straightforward. Even so, he's brilliant-minded: even in the first onboarding webinar I attended in 2021. Then, we started to prepare the food for lunch.
🫕The Preparation
I sliced the watermelon brought by @jobeliever. @callmesmile sliced the cucumber but turned it over to Sir Kim. 😁
Other rivers helped each other grill the meat. After I prepared the latter, I went to the grilling section and chitchatted with them until everything was ready.
🍽️Eating Time
We prayed before we partake the food to be led by @callmesmile. We had rice, roasted chicken, grilled pork, grilled fish and hotdog, lumpia, shrimp, vegetable salad, kitchen, watermelon, soda, sweetened sticky rice in lumpia wrapper, etc. We enjoyed ourselves much. Indeed, it was a sumptuous lunch.
⛅The Time Isn't Over
Since our stomachs filled with nutritious food, Sir Kim and Miss Clara gave us some input on how a hive works, our questions, how to be a border, and more. I was surprised and learned a lot about how helpful Hive is. It's not only for gaining money but also beyond what we know.
🏊Swimming Time

Learning is a priority; having fun while learning is more than what we achieve in time. It's time to go swimming and banana boating. Honestly, it's my first time riding a banana boat. I could say I am thankful to Miss Clara for sponsoring my two-piece as I didn't bring any extra undies; not my intention to swim; she gladly wanted us to enjoy and explore the beauty of the beach; the more, the merrier. Some kids accompany us in the deep blue sea.
It took us approximately 20 to 30 minutes to jump and float in the sea. The extraordinary experience we had was priceless. Then, we went back to our cottage.
🌥️The Time is Almost Over
After enjoying our time in the sea, we prepared to go home. Again, I had another photo opportunity with Ma'am Smile and our mentor Miss Clara whom we're always thankful. I remember the days; how she treated me when I was still new in Hive. She challenged and helped me learn things.
Eventually, she became more than a mentor; a newfound friend (NFF). ☺️
🙋It's time to Say, "See You Around."
If only we still have more time to be with each other, I still want to enjoy each other's company. I couldn't believe that time flew, so fast that it was time to go home. We cleaned the area first before leaving. That's what we call as ClAYGo (clean as you go).
🏠Home Sweet Home
When I arrived home, my husband asked me how the event went. I told him everything and convinced him to join. Hoping for a positive response soon. 🙏
😇Realization
I realized that if I didn't appear in the event, I miss 1/2 of my life. I laughed so hard. I learned. I giggled. I explored. I treasured the memories for a lifetime. Live fearlessly and learn endlessly.
