Tarde o temprano iba a pasar. No me malinterpreten. Huyendo como estaba de mi ex-vida empresarial, lo menos que quería era volver a tener responsabilidades de líder. Sólo quería dedicarme a escribir y ya. Pero he aquí que las cosas en la vida no son como quieres que sean. A veces los hechos te empujan en una dirección de la cual no es posible escapar. Y es así como me encuentro haciendo ésta aplicación. Primero, porque quiero; segundo, porque mi vida gira en torno a #Hive, es un hecho incontestable y tercero, porque requerimos avanzar en algunos proyectos que nos rondan en la cabeza y no serán posibles de desarrollar sin apoyo. La colmena significa eso: muchos, apoyándose unos a otros.
Sooner or later it was going to happen. Don't get me wrong. Running away like I was from my ex-business life, the least I wanted was to get back to my leadership responsibilities. I just wanted to write and that was it. But lo and behold, things in life are not as you want them to be. Sometimes the facts push you in a direction from which you cannot escape. And that's how I find myself making this application. First, because I want to; second, because my life revolves around #Hive, it is an undeniable fact and third, because we need to advance in some projects that are in our heads and will not be possible to develop without support. The beehive means that: many, supporting each other.
Cuando me sugirieron aplicar, me sentí bien. Cualquier reconocimiento que se haga de mi trabajo dentro de la plataforma es solo un paso más dentro del maravilloso camino que me ha tocado transitar acá desde Enero de 2018 cuando tomé la decisión de emprender mi carrera de escritor y abrí mi usuario en la antigua cadena. Hoy día me siento orgulloso de pertenecer a una comunidad que supo defender con garras, los intentos de centralización y eso fue hacer historia en el mundo de la tecnología Blockchain: elegir el tipo de gobernanza que queríamos.
When they suggested I apply, I felt good. Any recognition of my work within the platform is just one more step in the wonderful path I have taken here since January 2018 when I made the decision to start my writing career and opened my user in the old chain. Today I feel proud to belong to a community that knew how to defend with claws, the attempts of centralization and that was to make history in the world of Blockchain technology: to choose the type of governance we wanted.

Hace poco más de tres (3) meses, decidí echar andar un proyecto largamente acariciado: @fulldeportes. Uní los puntos de dos hechos anteriores en la vieja cadena: un trabajo como líder de contenidos en el servidor de Discord de la comunidad @engranaje, hoy desaparecida, en la que tuvimos un programa semanal de deportes que duró alrededor de ocho (8) meses. Más adelante, como autor (y curador) de contenido deportivo en la tribu @bloque64, un proyecto de noticias en español del testigo @cervantes, aún en desarrollo.
A little more than three (3) months ago, I decided to start a long cherished project: @fulldeportes. I joined the points of two previous events in the old chain: a work as content leader in the server of Discord of the community @engranaje, today disappeared, in which we had a weekly program of sports that lasted about eight (8) months. Later, as author (and curator) of sports content in the @bloque64 tribe, a Spanish news project of the @cervantes witness, still in development.
Haciendo éste último trabajo, me dí cuenta que el contenido deportivo era un nicho para prestar atención. Pero también me dí cuenta que era mal recompensado, por una cuestión de falta de originalidad. En efecto, hay una linea muy delgada entre ser original y el suceso deportivo. Pero logré demostrar que se podía hacer contenido relacionado con los deportes, sin crear dudas de la calidad y originalidad de lo compartido en un feed. Y, aunque era una idea que pudimos haber echado adelante a principios de año, el COVID-19 se atravesó como un evento que trastocó todos los planes al pausar obligadamente los hechos en canchas y estadios.
Doing this last job, I realized that sports content was a niche for attention. But I also realized that it was poorly rewarded, because of a lack of originality. Indeed, there is a very fine line between being original and sporting event. But I managed to prove that you can make sport-related content, without creating doubts about the quality and originality of what is shared in a feed. And, although it was an idea that we could have taken forward at the beginning of the year, the COVID-19 was an event that disrupted all plans by forcibly pausing the events on the courts and in the stadiums.
Una vez que comenzó la actividad mundial en los deportes, echamos andar la idea y el resto es historia. 174 suscriptores demuestran la confianza en la comunidad @fulldeportes. Con reglas claras y unas pautas sugeridas de publicación muy taxativas, nos hemos distanciado del contenido SPAM y contribuimos a la difusión de los deportes en lengua hispanohablante. Tenemos una revista semanal donde elegimos las siete (7) mejores contribuciones y destacamos a los autores. Hablamos en búsqueda de apoyo con @bluemist y con @eddiespino (el contacto de @theycallmedan) y ellos estuvieron de acuerdo en revisar nuestro feed para apoyar el contenido publicado.
Once the global activity in sports started, we start our engines and the rest is history. 174 subscribers demonstrate the confidence in the @fulldeportes community. With clear rules and some suggested guidelines of publication very taxativas, we have distanced ourselves from SPAM content and contribute to the diffusion of sports in Spanish language. We have a weekly magazine where we choose seven (7) best contributions and highlight the authors. We talked in search of support with @bluemist and @eddiespino (the contact of @theycallmedan) and they agreed to review our feed to support the published content.
Tenemos muchas ideas en desarrollo, que se han atrasado por los encierros provocados por la pandemia. En nuestro futuro vemos periodistas deportivos reconocidos escribiendo en nuestro feed. Nuestro trabajo de captación estará ubicado en las universidades donde buscaremos incorporar futuros periodistas de nuestro nicho. Una vez que alcancemos una masa crítica de autores comprometidos, queremos desarrollar un front-end para la comunidad y, de ser posible, más adelante, tokenizar las recompensas a las contribuciones del feed. Aún es muy temprano para dar esos pasos, pero el entusiasmo futuro sabemos que lo habrá, porque el deporte es algo inherente a la competitividad en el ser humano.
We have many ideas in development, which have been delayed by the lock-in caused by the pandemic. In our future we see well-known sports journalists writing in our feed. Our recruitment work will be located in the universities where we will seek to incorporate future journalists from our niche. Once we reach a critical mass of committed authors, we want to develop a front-end for the community and, if possible, further tokenize the rewards for feed contributions. It is still too early to take those steps, but future enthusiasm we know there will be, because sports is something inherent in human competitiveness.

Habilidades de liderazgo // Leadership skills
35 años de experiencia como dueño de una compañía nacional de distribución de productos de consumo masivo, refrendan una serie de habilidades de liderazgo que poseemos en razón de haber estado al frente de un grupo empresarial que, en su mejor momento, tuvo mas de 1.500 trabajadores. Aún con aquella experiencia, estar en #Hive me hizo adquirir unas nuevas habilidades. Es decir, cuando eres dueño de tu propia empresa, nadie te va a discutir una decisión tomada; pero cuando eres parte de una comunidad, aquella "experiencia de liderazgo" la puedes echar al retrete.
35 years of experience as the owner of a national company that distributes mass consumer products, endorse a series of leadership skills that we possess due to having been at the head of a business group that, at its best, had more than 1,500 workers. Even with that experience, being in #Hive made me acquire some new skills. In other words, when you own your own business, no one will argue with you about a decision you have made; but when you are part of a community, you can flush that 'leadership experience' down the toilet.
Aunque tenía experiencia negociando, en #Hive tienes que aprender otro manera de negociar. Y eso hicimos. No sin cometer errores en el camino. Pero de eso se trata esta aventura. Hoy día, la comunidad hispanohablante reconoce ese liderazgo ganado a pulso. Con muchísimo trabajo y honestidad a toda prueba nos hemos ganado un lugar en #Hive. El aprendizaje de liderazgo dentro de nuestra plataforma, me ha llevado a un lugar donde sabes que no eres nada sin la comunidad. Cuando creamos @fulldeportes tuvimos esto muy claro. La comunidad son las personas, jamás sus líderes. Ellos solo están allí como guía. Nada más.
Although I had experience negotiating, in #Hive you have to learn another way to negotiate. And that's what we did. Not without making mistakes along the way. But that's what this adventure is all about. Today, the Spanish-speaking community recognizes that hard-earned leadership. With hard work and honesty we have earned a place in #Hive. Learning leadership within our platform has taken me to a place where you know you are nothing without the community. When we created @fulldeportes we had this very clear. The community is the people, never its leaders. They are only there as a guide. Nothing else.

En enero de 2021 cumpliré tres años en la plataforma. He sido coordinador de contenidos y curador de la comunidad @engranaje, curador en @la-colmena, curador en @bloque64, autor de contenido original para el testigo @cervantes, nuestro trabajo allí nos sirvió para ser nombrado como coordinador de esa unidad en el testigo. Liaison de @jaguar-force tiempo atrás. Cleaner de la comunidad @spaco, y fundador de la comunidad @fulldeportes. Todo esto se escribe muy rápido, pero ha dejado un cúmulo de experiencias difícil de explicar.

Promocionando HIVE // Promoting HIVE
Imposible hacer vida en esta plataforma y no enamorarse de ella. Esto me ha hecho un verdadero fastidioso en mi entorno. Mi esposa me ha amenazado con divorciarse (es broma). La verdad, cada vez que puedo promuevo la plataforma en los espacios que puedo. Uso Facebook y Twitter para ello. También hemos sido invitado a la radio para entrevistas. Hay mucho desconocimiento de las plataformas sociales que corren sobre tecnología blockchain y es deber de socios como dueños de HIVE, promoverla en cada oportunidad que tengamos. Aunque he traído gente a la plataforma, no me siento satisfecho con lo hecho hasta ahora.
It is impossible to make life on this platform and not fall in love with it. This has made me a real nuisance in my environment. My wife has threatened me with a divorce (just kidding). The truth is, every time I can, I promote the platform in the spaces I can. I use Facebook and Twitter for that. We've also been invited to the radio for interviews. There is a lot of ignorance about the social platforms that run on blockchain technology and it is the duty of partners as owners of HIVE, to promote it every opportunity we have. Although I have brought people to the platform, I do not feel satisfied with what has been done so far.

¿Por qué quiero convertirme en un Gerente de la Comunidad de HIVE? // Why i want to become a HIVE Community Manager?
¿La verdad? ¡Creo que ya lo soy! Es decir, nadie me ha dado un título, pero mi accionar dentro de la plataforma ha demostrado que estoy a la altura de lo que se espera en un líder de #HIVE. Muchas horas dedicadas a nuestra comunidad y el trabajo reconocido por la gente hispanohablante habla por sí solo. Reconozco poca humildad al hacer las afirmaciones que preceden a esta oración, pero comprendo que saber donde se está parado es otra de las habilidades de un líder responsable. Muchos proyectos giran en mi cabeza y no creo que sea posible realizarlos sin dar el paso de la exposición debida, en otro escalón más dentro de HIVE.
The truth? I think I already am! I mean, no one has given me a title, but my actions on the platform have shown that I am up to the challenge of being a #HIVE leader. Many hours dedicated to our community and the work recognized by the Spanish-speaking people speaks for itself. I recognize little humility in making the statements that precede this sentence, but I understand that knowing where you stand is another skill of a responsible leader. Many projects spin in my head and I don't think it is possible to do them without taking the step of proper exposure, on another step within HIVE.
Mi visión sobre HIVE // My vision about HIVE
El poder inconmensurable que tiene nuestra plataforma de cambiar vidas y empoderar a la gente. Fue la idea que me enamoró, en primer término, de HIVE. Como hijo de un visionario, fui una de las primeras personas en proponer hace 20 años el vender nuestros productos en línea a mis socios dentro del grupo de empresas en mi país. Cuando comencé en la vieja cadena, me dí cuenta de lo que #HIVE puede lograr y por ello he trabajado tan duro. Una idea que cambiará a la humanidad para siempre, así veo a HIVE. Y no es una simple declaración, lo creo con toda mi alma.
The immeasurable power our platform has to change lives and empower people. It was the idea that made me fall in love with HIVE in the first place. As the son of a visionary, I was one of the first people to propose 20 years ago to sell our products online to my partners within the group of companies in my country. When I started in the old chain, I realized what #HIVE can achieve and that is why I have worked so hard. An idea that will change humanity forever, that's how I see HIVE. And it's not a simple statement, I believe it with all my soul.
