Nadie sabe lo que son las emociones si no ha vivido #Hive como un comprometido Hiver. Y lo digo con mucha responsabilidad. Es más, me juego mi reputación en ello ¡Por supuesto! No soy psicólogo y mucho menos psiquiatra. Pero soy testigo indiscutible de la marea emocional que significa hacer vida dentro de #Hive. Y cuando ví la iniciativa de @rutablockchain para la comunidad #LovingHive no pude resistirme ¿por qué? Emociones, logros y metas son los ingredientes que me han mantenido en estos tres años y medio acá.
No one knows what emotions are if they haven't lived #Hive as a committed Hiver. And I say that with a lot of responsibility. What's more, I stake my reputation on it Of course! I'm not a psychologist, let alone a psychiatrist. But I am an indisputable witness to the emotional side of what it means to do life within #Hive. And when I saw @rutablockchain's initiative for the #LovingHive community I couldn't resist. Why? Emotions, achievements and goals are the ingredients that have kept me here these three and a half years.
Y si no me creen, les cuento el caso de mi esposa. Ella y yo solíamos hablar sobre Hive al punto que se estaba volviendo loca. Me dijo si no tenía algo mejor que hacer antes de estar hablando todo el día de la plataforma y en un arranque de lucidez comprendí que era verdad y no había podido identificar la razón de ello. Cuando hice el ejercicio, me dí cuenta que #Hive no es como otras redes sociales. #Hive es un maestro. Cualquiera que tenga algún tipo de frustración o falta de sensación de logro lo puede ventilar acá de cualquier modo y ese vacío desaparecerá.

¿Piensan que exagero? Luego de tres años acá, hace un trimestre aproximadamente, finalmente la convencí que escribiera en #Hive. Abrió una cuenta y comenzó a participar tímidamente primero y con una confianza enorme después. Cuando hemos revisado las emociones que le produce escribir y las hemos comentado, apeló al sentimiento para darme la razón de la enorme satisfacción que le producía reencontrarse consigo misma. Y estamos hablando de una recomendada profesional de la psicología, visto lo full que se mantiene su consulta y el tiempo que le resta a su nueva afición. Pero las emociones son solo un componente de la mezcla.
Do you think I'm exaggerating? After three years here, about a quarter ago, I finally convinced her to write on #Hive. Y solo hay que leer las métricas de mi cuenta en Junio. Muchas de ellas las veía inalcanzables cuando comencé en #Hive. Las veía muy lejos y creía que nunca llegaría acá. No solo eso, más allá de lo imaginado: reputación de nivel 74, más de 1500 seguidores y una cantidad de 15000 HP acumulados a fuerza de puro trabajo y talento. Todas las métricas en el mes que corre.
Because the second component is the achievements. Those that make you feel the full satisfaction of seeing your years of work crowned, with the firm conviction of having built something from scratch and knowing that it has been the product of your constant effort. And you only have to read the metrics of my account in June. Many of them I saw as unattainable when I started #Hive. I saw them far away and I thought I would never get here. Not only that, beyond the imagination: level 74 reputation, more than 1500 followers and an amount of 15000 HP accumulated by sheer hard work and talent. All metrics in the current month.
Finalmente, tenemos el último componente de la mezcla: las metas. Al principio de comenzar tu camino en #Hive, siquiera piensas en ellas. Vamos hablar claro, solo piensas en dinero. Pero cuando comienzas a darte cuenta de como funciona y el potencial enorme a partir de la información que obtienes, ya no deseas solo el dinero. Lo ves como una consecuencia y no como un fin. Comienzas a llamar cada paso de avance acá como una meta. Recuerdo la primera que me puse, una vez que me dí cuenta de todo: formar parte del equipo de @cervantes. Y así como ésta, decenas de metas más casi todas logradas y algunas por lograr.
Finally, we have the last component in the mix: goals. When you first start your #Hive journey, you don't even think about them. Let's be clear, you only think about money. But when you start to realize how it works and the huge potential from the information you get, you no longer just want the money. You see it as a consequence and not as an end. You start calling every step of advancement here as a goal. I remember the first one I set for myself, once I realized everything: to be part of the @cervantes team. And like this, dozens of other goals almost all of them achieved and some yet to be achieved.
Hacer vida en #Hive es como viajar en una montaña rusa de emociones, pero sin fin. Es increíble. Es enfrentarte a tí mismo, es pensar en colectivo y sentir que formas parte de algo muy grande. Y es por ello que quizás los hivers tienen fama de defender la plataforma con los dientes. Nada en el mundo, a excepción de tus hijos y tu pareja, puede brindar tantas alegrias, desengaños y reafirmaciones como la comunidad donde hacemos vida ¿es bueno o malo? Lo ignoro, pero para un mundo que se ha vuelto tan impersonal, #Hive es lo más cercano a sentirse humano nuevamente.
Living at #Hive is like riding a roller coaster of emotions but with no end in sight. It's incredible. It's facing yourself, it's thinking collectively and feeling like you're part of something very big. And that's perhaps why hivers have a reputation for defending the platform with their teeth. Nothing in the world, with the exception of your children and your partner, can bring as many joys, disappointments, and reaffirmations as the community where we live, is it good or bad? I don't know, but for a world that has become so impersonal, #Hive is the closest thing to feeling human again.
Y puede que suene melodramático. Al fin y al cabo es solo una blockchain más entre miles y otra plataforma para compartir contenidos entre centenas. Pero, jamás conseguirá un lugar con gente tan talentosa y que te haga mover el corazón como en #Hive. Las emociones son el componente principal de la mezcla, sin ellas no existen las otras dos partes. Pero cuando les digo que con ellas construyes un mañana y, además, lleno de satisfacciones ¿no querrías pasar el resto de tus días acá? Yo, sí.
And it may sound melodramatic. After all, it's just another blockchain among thousands and another content-sharing platform among hundreds. But, you'll never get a place with people as talented and heartwarming as #Hive. Emotions are the main component of the mix, without them, the other two parts don't exist. But when I tell you that with them you build a tomorrow and, moreover, full of satisfaction, wouldn't you want to spend the rest of your days here? I would.
