El Jueves volvió a caer lluvia sobre la ciudad de Maracaibo en Venezuela. El respiro por la serie de días lluviosos duró solo dos días: Martes y Miércoles. Aún así, las personas en la ciudad se preparaban para celebrar la víspera del Día de la Virgen de La Chinita, patrona del estado Zulia. Una advocación religiosa de muchísimos años por la cual hacen celebraciones de una semana. Hemos estado en la ExpoZulia desde el Miércoles 09 de Noviembre y hemos estado trabajando por #Hive desde el Jueves 10 en la ExpoZulia, un evento enmarcado dentro de las ferias populares de la ciudad, pero que se encuentra emplazado en uno de los mejores hoteles acá: Hotel Tibisay del Lago. La feria-exposición es gigantesca, pero el stand de nuestra plataforma se encuentra ubicado en un lugar muy estratégico por donde debe pasar todo flujo de personas para acceder a los interminables pasillos de exhibiciones.
Even so, people in the city were preparing to celebrate the eve of the Day of the Virgin of La Chinita, patron saint of Zulia. A religious invocation of many years for which they make week-long celebrations. We have been at ExpoZulia since Wednesday, November 9 and we have been working for #Hive since Thursday, November 10 at ExpoZulia, an event framed within the popular fairs of the city, but which is located in one of the best hotels here: Hotel Tibisay del Lago. The fair exhibition is gigantic, but the stand of our platform is located in a very strategic place where all flow of people must pass through to access the endless aisles of exhibitions.

El equipo conformado por nuestra hiver anfitriona @arlettemsalase y mis dos acompañantes de carretera @soy-laloreto e @ilazramusic ha estado dando todo de sí para hacer de nuestra representación todo un éxito. Antier jueves decidimos premiarnos al cumplir una semana de trabajo y nos fuimos almorzar al restaurante El Girasol, el único con piso giratorio de Venezuela ubicado en la azotea del Hotel El Paseo, en El Milagro, sector La Cotorrera. Desde allí pudimos tener vistas hermosas del lago de Maracaibo mientras almorzamos un lingüini con frutos del mar. Exquisito. Los nervios se apoderaron de éste servidor porque concedería una entrevista televisiva al canal local Telecolor. Los chicos me animaban para calmar mi ansiedad.
The team formed by our hiver host @arlettemsalase and my two road companions @soy-laloreto and @ilazramusic has been giving their all to make our representation a success. Last Thursday we decided to reward ourselves for a week of work and we went for lunch at El Girasol restaurant, the only one with a revolving floor in Venezuela located on the rooftop of the Hotel El Paseo, in El Milagro, La Cotorrera sector. From there we had beautiful views of Lake Maracaibo while we had a seafood linguini for lunch. Exquisite. My nerves got the better of me because I would be giving a television interview to the local channel Telecolor. The guys cheered me up to calm my anxiety.

Quiero dar públicamente las gracias a la Hiver y periodista @vanessacala por tener la valentía de ofrecer la oportunidad para hablar sobre @hiveio. No habría sido posible sin ella. Tal como lo pautamos, a las 4:30 p.m. nos encontramos en el set. Previa a nuestra entrevista, un famoso comediante venezolano de nombre Wilmer Ramírez se presentó en el set para promover una obra de teatro que está de gira por el país y se encuentra en la ciudad. Luego, tocó el turno a nuestra anfitriona en su programa deportivo y en el segundo segmento éste servidor atendió una muy buena entrevista. Hablamos sobre la plataforma, sobre como los periodistas en particular y las personas en general, pueden vencer la censura con las aplicaciones descentralizadas de la Web 3.0, además, sobre el ecosistema y la evolución de la nueva economía de monetización de contenidos, entre muchas cosas más. El segmento duró cerca de 15 minutos. Una vez terminada, un alivio recorrió mi psique porque lo hicimos con cariño y, al actuar así desde el corazón, todo fluyo enormemente bien.
I want to publicly thank Hiver and journalist @vanessacala for having the courage to offer the opportunity to talk about @hiveio. It would not have been possible without her. As scheduled, at 4:30 p.m. we met on set. Before our interview, a famous Venezuelan comedian by the name of Wilmer Ramirez showed up on set to promote a play that is touring the country and is in town. Then, it was the turn of our hostess in her sports program and in the second segment, this server attended an excellent interview. We talked about the platform, about how journalists in particular and people, in general, can overcome censorship with the decentralized applications of Web 3.0, as well as about the ecosystem and the evolution of the new economy of content monetization, among many other things. La cantidad de Hivers zulianos se ha hecho sentir en los días del evento, no tanto como en la Caracas Blockchain Week, pero si lo suficiente como para que se encuentren emocionados con el stand. Sé al menos de dos de ellos que no se han podido acercar: una porque tienen problemas en su apartamento que le impiden dejarlo y otro que vive muy lejos justo a media hora de camino fuera de la ciudad. Creo con sinceridad, la mayoría se ha acercado haciendo un esfuerzo porque Maracaibo es enorme. Tiene una superficie mayor a la ciudad de Caracas. Nos quedan tres días por reseñar y nos despediremos de la ciudad el lunes próximo, cuando junto a mis compañeros tomaremos camino de regreso a nuestras ciudades de origen. Nos leemos por allí.
The number of Hivers from Zulia has been felt in the days of the event, not as much as in the Caracas Blockchain Week, but enough to be excited about the booth. I know of at least two of them who have not been able to come: one because they have problems in her apartment that prevent her from leaving it and another who lives far away just a half-hour drive out of the city. I sincerely believe that most of them have approached us to make an effort because Maracaibo is huge. It has a larger surface area than the city of Caracas. We have three days left to review and we will say goodbye to the city next Monday when I and my companions will be on our way back to our home cities. See you there.
