Today I will share with you my experience at the Caracas Blockchain that took place here in Venezuela in the city of Caracas, from October 24 to 28. Despite it being an entire week dedicated to the topic of cryptocurrencies, my husband and I were only able to attend on Saturday the 27th. (I thank @yonnathang for the complimentary tickets.)

Hoy compartiré con ustedes mi experiencia en el Caracas Blockchain que se llevó a cabo aquí en Venezuela en la ciudad de Caracas, desde el 24 al 28 de octubre. A pesar de tratarse de toda una semana dedicada al tema de las criptomonedas, mi esposo y yo solo pudimos asistir el día sábado 27. (agradezco a @yonnathang por las entradas de cortesía.)

That day we arrived at approximately 11 am since we had to take our daughters to my parents' house first. The Andrés Bello Catholic University (place where the event took place the last two days) is somewhat far away from us.

Ese día llegamos a las 11 am aproximadamente ya que tuvimos que llevar primero a nuestras hijas a la casa de mis padres. La Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (lugar donde se hizo el evento los dos últimos días), nos queda algo lejos.

Upon arrival, the first thing we saw was the HIVE stand, since it was the most visited. There I saw several people that I vote for but they were busy attending the visit and I couldn't take a photo with them at that moment and then I didn't see them again.

Al llegar, lo primero que visualizamos fue el stand de HIVE, ya que era el más visitado. Allí vi a varias personas por las que voto pero estaban ocupadas atendiendo a la visita y no pude tomarme foto con ellos en ese momento y luego no los vi más.

They told us that we had to register and when we went to the place where the registration was done, we came across the day's schedule.

Nos indicaron que debíamos registrarnos y al dirigirnos al lugar donde se hacía el registro, nos topamos con la programación del día.

One of the conferences had just started and we took advantage of going in to learn. The first one we saw was made by César Díaz (@filoriologo), who talked about the philosophy of Hive. Then we were at the talk by Guillermo Fernandes, who focused more on Bitcoin and gave some projections and reviews of this crypto, I really liked his presentation, it was very clear and he handled the topic well. I also really liked one of the last presentations we attended, which dealt with technological security, since there are currently a lot of scams and the advice was good.

Justo había comenzado una de las conferencias y aprovechamos de entrar para aprender. La primera que vimos fue realizada por César Díaz (@filoriologo), quien habló de la filosofía de Hive. Luego Estuvimos en la charla de Guillermo Fernandes, quien se enfocó más en e Bitcoin y dió algunas proyecciones y reseñas de esta cripto, la verdad me gustó mucho su ponencia, fue muy claro y manejó bien el tema. También me gustó mucho una de las ultimas ponencias que presenciamos, la cual trataba de la seguridad tecnológica, ya que actualmente hay mucha estafa y los consejos fueron buenos.

Then we left the auditorium and walked around the University facilities for a while to see who we found and here I show you some photos.

Luego salimos del auditórium y caminamos un rato por las instalaciones de la Universidad para ver a quienes encontrábamos y aquí les muestro algunas fotos.

The first one I recognized was @mayvil, I used to vote on many of his posts but then I changed my curation schedule and I no longer coincided with his posts.

La primera que reconocí fue a @mayvil, solía votar en muchas de sus publicaciones pero luego cambié el horario de curaduría y no coincidí más con sus publicaciones.

Next I met @soyunasantacruz, it was a pleasant surprise, I never imagined meeting her at an event here in Caracas, since she is from another State. We have been in contact for a long time and when I saw her, I immediately approached her and introduced myself.

Seguidamente me encontré a @soyunasantacruz, fue una grata sorpresa, nunca imaginé conocerla en un evento aquí en Caracas, ya que ella es de otro Estado. Hemos tenido contacto desde hace tiempo y cuando la vi, enseguida me le acerqué y me presenté.

Another pleasant surprise was meeting @crisch23 since she has also been part of the @dsc-r2cornell team.

Otra grata sorpresa fue encontrarme a @crisch23 ya que ella ha formado parte también del equipo @dsc-r2cornell.

Then my husband and I took a break because we were hungry and when we were going to the car to eat, I recognized @yonnathang, I greeted him and we started talking to him for a moment and he made me laugh abecause he realized who he was Me, about 5 0 10 minutes later lol.

Luego mi esposo y yo hicimos un break porque teníamos hambre y cuando íbamos al carro a comer, reconocí a @yonnathang, lo saludé y nos pusimos a hablar un momento con él y me dió risa el hecho de que el cayó en cuenta de quien era yo, aproximadamente 5 0 10 minutos después jajaja.

We went to eat some sandwiches that I had brought and then we returned to the event. On the way back, we met the Co-Founder of 3speak, @starkerz, a very nice person with whom we spoke very little due to the language difference, however he was very receptive, oh and by the way when I took the photo next to him I felt small because he is very tall.

Fuimos a comer unos sándwich que yo había llevado y luego volvimos a evento. De regreso, nos encontramos al Co-Fundador de 3speak, @starkerz, una persona muy agradable con el que hablamos muy poco debido a la diferencia de idioma, sin embargo él fue muy receptivo, ah y por cierto al tomarme la foto a su lado me sentí pequeña porque él es muy alto.

Then I recognized @dimeilaz, I also used to vote for his posts and when I changed my curation schedule it didn't coincide with his post. It was very pleasant to find him there.

Luego reconocí a @dimeilaz, también solía votar por sus publicaciones y cuando cambié mi horario de curaduría no coincidí con sus post. Fue muy grato encontrarlo allí.

I also had the opportunity to share and take a photo with @fermionico and @enmy.

También tuve la oportunidad de compartir y tomarme foto con @fermionico y @enmy.

and finally when we were almost leaving, I took a photo with @arlettemsalase, it was one of the first ones I saw when I arrived but she was always busy, in the end she greeted me and we took the photo.

y finalmente cuando ya casi nos íbamos, me tomé una foto con @arlettemsalase, fue una de las primeras que vi cuando llegué pero siempre estaba ocupada, al final ella me saludó y fue que nos tomamos la foto.

Apart from the conferences, there was an interview area that was active all day with different people invited, I managed to listen to only a few.

Aparte de las conferencias hubo una zona de entrevistas que estuvo todo el días activa con diferentes personas invitadas, logré escuchar solo algunos.

There were also major awards according to proposed projects.

También hubo premiaciones de envergadura de acuerdo a proyectos propuestos.

Truly congratulations to the entire community for the organization, development and everything that has been achieved so far. This strengthens both the community and the currency.

De verdad felicitaciones a toda la comunidad por la organización, desarrollo y todo lo que se ha logrado hasta ahora. Esto hace que se fortalezca tanto la comunidad como la moneda.
