Hola, amigas y amigos de @fulldeportes. Antes que finalizara el año 2023 tuve la posibilidad de hacer, como uno de sus conductores, el noticiero deportivo de mi emisora Radio Guamá. En 15 años que llevo trabajando en el medio, nunca se me había dado la oportunidad, y es que con esto del deporte, solo llego a admirarlo, así como a los atletas que viven de y por él. He hecho como locutor, o como director, varios programas de la emisora, pero los relacionados con el deporte no. Y no considero que sea yo un antideportivo, ¡para nada!, solo que respeto mucho a los que se dedican a comentarlo o narrarlo, por eso valoro mucho a los que integran esta comunidad.

Recuerdo en el año 2012 cuando se acercaron a mí para formar parte de un entrenamiento que contribuiría a mi formación como narrador comentarista deportivo. Estaban garantizando el futuro de la especialidad en la emisora y yo formaba parte de un programa juvenil en el que trabajábamos varios jóvenes. Enseguida pensé que yo no sería bueno para eso y recomendé a un muchacho que llevaba menos tiempo que yo en la radio, pero que tenía muchas cualidades: Osbel Benítez Polo. ¡Y en esta no fallé! Hoy es uno de los narradores comentaristas deportivo que prestigia el país, la radio y la televisión cubanas, además de ser mi amigo (como un hermano).
En Cuba hay un refrán que reza: “La yagua que está para ti no hay vaca que se la coma”. Hace poco tuve la posibilidad de conducir Todo Deporte, nombre con el que se identifica el noticiero deportivo de la emisora. El primer día lo hice junto al gran maestro Julio Duarte Alonso, con un currículo brillante en la especialidad. Fíjense si es así que ha viajado a otros países y narrado para Cuba juegos internacionales. Cierta vez una de sus narraciones fue escuchada en Cuba gracias a la transmisión efectuada desde un avión en constante sobrevuelo, en aras de que la señal pudiera tener más alcance. Por sus manos han pasado generaciones de narradores. Estar junto a él fue un gran privilegio. Venturín, me dice él, porque es un colega muy cariñoso, sencillo, disciplinado. Cuando no hay transmisiones de béisbol, él conduce este noticiero y reporta para los programas informativos de la emisora.
En el caso de este noticiero, Todo Deporte, coincidentemente, el pasado 3 de enero cumplió un aniversario más de su salida al aire, que se materializó por primera vez en el año 1989. ¡Yo no había nacido! Su duración ha sido de 20 minutos y su frecuencia, de lunes a viernes. Lo más interesante es que para su realización se basa en los reportes de periodistas y colaboradores en cada municipio de la provincia, quienes, tras un entrenamiento que incluye la redacción y el estilo, pueden comenzar a nutrir el programa, muchas veces sin remuneración alguna.
Su locución es a dos voces, generalmente masculinas, aunque ha habido mujeres presentándolo. Algunos años estuvo transmitiéndose por la tarde, lo que coincidía con muchos juegos de pelota. Esto representaba un problema, pues sus presentadores, en muchos casos, eran los narradores del juego. Fue así que se pensó que debía transmitirse en la mañana.
Entre otros presentadores, ha contado con las voces de Julio Duarte Alonso, Sebastián Ferrer Pimienta (experimentados narradores), Osbel Benítez y Ernesto Amaya. Estos últimos son dos jóvenes que destacan mucho y somos de los muchachos que iniciamos juntos en la radio. Entre sus colaboradores más habituales: Juanito Santovenia, José Silva Hernández y más recientemente un joven muy apasionado que, además, es médico.
Por tanto, mi llegada a este equipo, aunque fuera como “bate emergente” fue un gran honor por varios días. Mantengo mi disposición, pero solo llego hasta informar el deporte. Admiro mucho a los que lo narran y comentan. Para esto tengo “ojo clínico”.
