Ya las eliminatorias en Suramérica para el próximo mundial de futbol iniciaron desde el pasado jueves. 4 selecciones obtuvieron triunfos, siendo estas Colombia, Argentina, Brasil y Uruguay. Son sin duda estas 4 y Ecuador, las 5 selecciones que a priori no tendrán problemas para acceder a la cita mundialista. Pero para este mundial habrá 6 cupos y medio, así que todos pueden tener la posibilidad de estar presentes.

En esta segunda fecha, la Vinotinto, que viene de caer ante Colombia, recibirá en el estadio Monumental de Maturín al combinado de Paraguay con el firme objetivo de ganar el encuentro, dejando en casa los 3 puntos del partido y, además, dejar una buena impresión de cara a lo que resta de eliminatoria.

Ya se han vendido poco más de 30 mil entradas para este cotejo, y se espera que el estadio esté totalmente lleno el martes 12 de septiembre. El público hará su parte, por lo que esperamos sea un gran encuentro y Venezuela sume de a 3. El partido iniciará a las 6 de la tarde.

Ese mismo día, a las 4 pm, el actual campeón del mundo, Argentina, visitará a Bolivia en lo que será una dura prueba para los de Scaloni debido a la altura con la que cuenta el conjunto local en La Paz. Los argentinos vienen de ganar, por lo que pase lo que pase ya tienen un saldo positivo en esta primera doble fecha de eliminatorias.

Una hora más tarde dará comienzo el que para mí es el encuentro más parejo de la fecha, Uruguay visitando a Ecuador. Los ecuatorianos deben ganar para sumar puntos por primera vez en esta eliminatoria, sobre todo por tener -3 puntos al inicio de la misma. Por su parte, Uruguay viene de ganar a Chile y, además, dejar un buen sabor de boca en cuanto a buen futbol. Su actual técnico, el loco Bielsa, declaró que aún no habían podido entrenar lo suficiente antes del primer partido, así que seguramente para este veremos a un equipo aún más competitivo.

A las 8:30 pm dará comienzo al partido entre Chile y Colombia, en el que el conjunto local intentará mejorar el performance dejado en la fecha 1 ante Uruguay. Lo más importante sería sumar los 3 puntos, para mejorar su posición en la tabla general. Por otro lado, el conjunto cafetero viene de ganar en casa, por lo que un empate sería de gran valor, especialmente por el hecho de ser visitante en esta segunda jornada.

El último encuentro del día será el Perú vs Brasil, único partido que enfrentará a dos conjuntos que ya suman puntos en esta eliminatoria. Brasil lleva 3 tras su triunfo ante Bolivia y Perú logró arañar 1 punto en Paraguay, punto que vale muchísimo porque jugó con 10 hombres desde el primer tiempo tras la expulsión de Advincula.
