Se esta jugando un ajedrez de alto nivel.
Este duelo para la comunidad ajedrecista, algunos lo ven como “van a construir una casa” por el hecho de que llevan 5 tablas, pero mi opinión personal es que ha sido bastante gratificante, ha existido una corriente teórica y con detalles de precisión, considero que el retador no tiene nada que perder, sino mucho que ganar. Carlsen en sus últimos 2 ediciones en defensa del título, contra el GM Caruana y GM Karjakin, no pudo vencer en las partidas clásicas; por lo tanto, se valió del ritmo rápido para defender su titulo de campeón. En esta edición a medida que se alarga el match y se acercan las partidas rápidas el Noruego se crece. Una interesante jugada, entregando un peón a cambio de la pareja de alfiles, esto se define como una ventaja estratégica – posicional, la pareja de alfiles en posiciones abiertas son un arma mortal, esa partida fue la que abrió el telón en este certamen y tuvo un bonito final muy bien ejecutado por parte de ambos.

La cuarta partida Carlsen – Nepomniachtchi se jugó con la “Gran tablifera” así se le conoce a la Defensa Petrov o Defensa Rusa, que se da tras las jugadas 1.e4 e5 2.Cf3 Cf6 ; con esta las negras igualan la posición desde un inicio, en mis estudios tengo una bonita partida que le gane al Maestro Internacional Jose Luis Castro, en el Nacional Sub 20 en Valencia año 2010, recuerdo que tuve que aplicarle esa estrategia y este es el punto de inicio de esta defensa, a pesar de que muchos jugadores consideran que la Defensa Petrov no es la más idónea para salir a buscar la victoria, les puedo respetar su opinión pero no la comparto. Esta defensa ha sido el arma de grandes jugadores como Kramnink, Nakamura, Caruana, con esta variante hay muchas piezas sobre el tablero y la guerra estratégica comienza, por lo tanto le doy mi voto de confianza a que fue un buen planteamiento por parte de Nepo, en la cual fue Carlsen quien saco el jaque perpetuo, Nepo freno la iniciativa de las blancas e intento ir por la victoria por otra vía.

La 5ta partida del Match con blancas para el jugador ruso, volvio con el arma que ha utilizado a lo largo del enfrentamiento, Apertura Española, no consiguió ventaja y nuevamente culmino en tablas, mi opinión personal como ajedrecista, debe cambiar la apertura e intentar sorprender al campeón ya que claramente se ha visto que lo ha estado esperando; yo me inclinaría por una Apertura Inglesa o una Apertura Catalana que es bastante flexible para el bando blanco donde ofrece una posición estratégica que se decantara a la espera de lo que haga el negro, dependiendo el desarrollo del negro puede atacar poco a poco por cualquier parte del tablero, “Flanco de Rey, Flanco de Dama o con una ruptura central que permita a sus alfiles ingresar en la lucha”.
