Son tiempos aciagos y extraños para muchos en el fútbol italiano, pero no lo son para la Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli que avanza a paso firme en pos de hacer historia y volver a conquistar el Scudetto tras 33 años de no conseguirlo. El conjunto Partinopei de Luciano Spalletti se plantó en Salerno para conquistar su tercera victoria consecutiva tras aquel descalabro ante el Inter y reivindicar su postura como la mejor defensiva del campeonato y, por mucho, la mejor ofensiva del mismo.
Si hablamos de tiempos aciagos en varios frentes de la Serie A es porque los escoltas del conjunto sureño se han ido desinflando en la carrera por el título; pues, tras la reanudación de la temporada liguera en Italia, el Napoli terminó cosechando su primera derrota en el Giuseppe Meazza ante el Inter, ahí saltaban a la palestra los nombres del AC Milán y la Juventus de Turín para darle vida a la competición y apretar un poco a los del sur; nada ha podido estar más alejado de la realidad pues el Milán se ha desinflado en lo futbolístico con un desastroso mes de enero y la Juventus ha recibido una sanción de -15 puntos (amén de una multa económica) que los deja fuera de cualquier opción de competir.

En esta convulsión de tiempos aciagos, la Salernitana, rival en turno para el Napoli de Spalletti, había caído por 8-2 ante el Atalanta y tras la estrepitosa caída habían cesado al estratega Davide Nicola para un par de días anunciar que le restituían en su puesto al frente de los Ippocampi Granata. Un hecho por demás curioso que ha dejado retratada a la directiva y dirección deportiva del conjunto de Salerno. ¡Dice mi mamá que siempre no!
El Napoli fue protagonista de una estrepitosa caída duramente criticada en los medios, pues en la Copa Italia -con un cuadro alternativo y casi a propósito- han caído en la Copa Italia ante la Cremonese por lo que, los Partenopeí, concentrarán sus energías en ir llevando el campeonato liguero de la mejor forma posible para capitalizar su ventaja y coronarse campeón de una liga que no ganan desde hace 33 años y, a su vez, buscar trascender en la UEFA Champions League dónde también brillaron en la fase de grupos.

Aún con todo y las imprecisiones que acusaron los de Spalleti, lograron encontrar un par de goles que reafirmaron su posición de líderes absolutos e incontestables en la Serie A.
El conjunto Napolitano fue carburando de a poco y en el añadido del primer tiempo se encontró con el gol que abría el camino a la victoria. Escorado a la izquierda, armó un pared Zambo Anguissa y entró hasta línea de fondo para meter un pase que llegó a los pies de “il Capitano” Di Lorenzo, el italiano no perdonó y con un zapatazo con la diestra sacudió las redes del marco defendido por el veterano Memo Ochoa. 0-1 la ventaja para el Napoli al descanso.

Bajó el ritmo del partido el conjunto de Spalletti que, sin haber ofrecido un fútbol brillante, con la misma contundencia que cerró la primera parte abrió la segunda y ese par de goles sirvieron para tramitar un espectacular cierre de la primera vuelta en la Serie A con 16 victorias en 19 encuentros disputados, un par de empates y solo un descalabro; los Partenopei suman 50 unidades (12 por delante del Milán) con 46 goles a favor y tan solo 14 en contra. ¡Napoli camina a ritmo de campeón!
