En la penúltima jornada de la actual temporada de la Premier League, el Arsenal FC obtuvo una importante victoria en su visita a Old Trafford, casa del Manchester United; un lugar en donde solo había ganado una vez en las dieciséis últimas visitas.
Los Gunners sigue con su gran actuación en este 2024 en la máxima competición del fútbol inglés, no solo obteniendo importantes victorias, sino manteniendo en cero a sus rivales y es que en lo que va de año, en la Premier League, solo han recibido 8 goles en contra, pero lamentablemente dos de esos goles recibidos fue en la derrota contra el Aston Villa en la jornada número 32, encuentro disputado en el Emirates Stadium y es por ese resultado que los dirigidos por Arteta dependen de ellos y de otros para poder ser campeones al final de la actual temporada; esa dependencia de obligatoriamente ganar genera una presión que se hizo muy evidente está visita a Manchester, pero creo que la suerte se inclinó de una manera impresionante lo cual ayudó a que el Arsenal tuviera una visita tranquila a pesar de no practicar un gran juego.

Posiblemente, todo lo que esté describiendo en los párrafos anteriores hagan ver qué el Arsenal no hizo un encuentro a la altura de la exigencia de mantener la posibilidad de ser campeón y es que así como ha sucedido en otras ocasiones, llegué a pensar que este es ese lamentable momento en dónde los Gunners vuelven a fallar y si quedan con las manos vacías, pero también debo de decir que a pesar de lo favorecido por las bajas de jugadores rivales a causa de las lesiones, también debo hacer referencia al trabajo de muchos jugadores del Arsenal que mantuvieron la solidez defensiva y así se obtuvo la victoria; jugadores como Saliba, Magalhães, Tomiyasu, Saka, Rice y el mismo Ødegaard, demostraron compromiso y sacrificio para mantener esa corta distancia; ese trabajo hace que la balanza se mantenga nivelada entre los gallos y los aciertos a favor del Arsenal.
