El día de ayer se jugó el primer partido de la que será esta doble fecha de amistosos de la Vinotinto, ayer el partido fue contra el seleccionado de Panamá y el domingo, día de la inauguración del mundial, se enfrentarán a Siria. La selección de Venezuela muy rara vez ha sido de esas que logran encontrar equipos de cierto nivel para sus amistosos en fechas FIFA, siempre juegan con lo que se puede y así nos conformamos y aunque es verdad que Panamá si tiene futbol, por algo han sido mundialistas, Siria no tanto por lo que a mi criterio en caso de una victoria yo no la valdría mucho como fue el caso con los Emiratos Árabes. Esto es un poco mezquino de mi parte? - puede ser pero no deja de ser una realidad.

Yo soy de los que piensa que los amistosos hay que ganarlos, hay que salir a dar un buen juego y eso en Venezuela no se ve, no entiendo como nos seguimos escudando bajo el pretexto de que son partidos de preparación para justificar el desastre en cancha, desastre como el que se vio ayer.

Como ya les comenté la Vinotinto venía de una victoria holgada ante los Emiratos Árabes, en ese partido se vio un dominio de la selección y la verdad es que pudo haber dejado "buenas" sensaciones pero no olvidemos el rival y su calidad, sin desprestigiar a nadie. Ante Panamá la cosa era distinta porque esta es una selección que juaga en la Concacaf donde hay cierto nivel y que además muchos de sus jugadores, irónicamente, juegan en nuestro futbol, es decir, nos conocen por lo que las condiciones de juego a mi parecer eran bastante parecidas y equilibradas. Venezuela venía con ciertas bajas, Ferraresi, Yangel Herrera que ya se está haciendo costumbre su ausencia en estas fechas, Rómulo Otero quien es un motor en ese cuarto de cancha y el diferente a todos Yeferson Soteldo quien igualmente está lesionado.

Se fue ese primer tiempo con Venezuela perdiendo 1-0 y dando una presentación para el olvido y desastrosa, yo no podía entender como ese equipo era uno dirigido por Pekerman. Entraban Juampi Añor, Andrés Miki Romero y el debut de un atacante ítalo-venezolano de nombre Ernesto Torregrossa quien milita en el Pisa de la serie B de Italia. Al principio de los segundos 45 minutos no se vio mucha mejora, es verdad que parecían tener un poco más el control pero igualmente todo parecía muy estéril aún. Cuando pensábamos que las cosas no podían salir peor llega el segundo gol de los panameños gracias a un contraataque fulminante que encontró a una defensa totalmente desnuda en el retroceso y en un 3 contra 1 hicieron el segundo tanto. No voy a decir que Chancellor tuvo que ver un poco directamente con este gol pero si, tuvo que ver un poco directamente. Me da hasta pereza seguir escribiendo de él.

Es un joven que hay que darle más oportunidades porque lo poco que se vio convenció mucho.

Y el segundo en destacar fue Torregrossa, un delantero nueve nato que lo que se le vio fue que está enchufado en el área. Tuvo sus varias oportunidades también, se le vio fuerte en el ataque y con el hambre de gol que necesita esta selección, de hecho el gol que hizo fue puramente de delantero gracias a un desborde de Savarino que con un centro atrás encontró a Torregrossa quien con un remate a la esquina derecha batió al arquero de Panamá. Si la Vinotinto hubiese hecho ese juego de los últimos 10 minutos a lo largo de toda la segunda parte estoy seguro que el resultado y las sensaciones fueran otras porque si, se logró un empate y no se perdió pero es que no nos podemos quedar con eso, Venezuela siempre tiene que salir a ganar sin importar el grado de relevancia que tenga un partido.

Un juego gris en donde muchas veces se notaron las carencias defensivas, que ya es preocupante que Pekerman no haya resuelto ese tema ya que es el talón de Aquiles de este equipo y una falta de asociación y control en el medio campo para que pueda existir la combinación con el ataque, esto ultimo no se vio en gran parte del encuentro. Yo confío en Pekerman porque la historia, números y estadísticas lo respaldan, es de los mejores técnicos que podemos tener pero mientras no exista un compromiso, una garra, una verdadera pasión por jugar por parte de algunos jugadores lamentablemente no saldremos del foso en el que terminamos las eliminatorias para Catar. Parece mentira pero el camino que le falta y que le queda por recorrer a esta selección es eterno...
