Este domingo, la serie de la copa NASCAR corre en el triángulo de Pocono, también conocido como “El triángulo difícil”, siendo esta la fecha número 21 del campeonato regular. Cada vez quedan menos cupos para los playoffs, hasta el momento hay doce pilotos asegurados por triunfos, siendo el último Alex Bowman, tras imponerse en las calles de Chicago. Solo quedan cuatro cupos para la postemporada de la serie mayor de NASCAR y este domingo 14 de julio, alguien más pueden unirse a los ya clasificados.

La curva 1 de mis favoritas y desde mi opinión es la más sencilla de todas, lo puedo decir, ya que llegué a probar esta pista en un simulador, así que tengo una idea más o menos. Por otro lado, tenemos la curva dos, que es muy cerrada, hay que tratar de soltar un poco el acelerador con un buen ángulo de giro para tomar la curva lo más rápido posible. Mientras que la curva tres es de las más complicadas, ya que en esta parte los autos se suelen soltar mucho, sobre todo en la entrada, además que hay que bajar las marchas para tener una mayor aceleración.
Pocono as its name suggests, is a difficult triangle, and the main reason is because of the characteristics of the track, the little camber of the curves make them more complicated to take, any mistake can be paid dearly. Turn 1 of my favorites and from my opinion is the easiest of all, I can say it, since I got to test this track in a simulator, so I have an idea more or less. On the other hand, we have turn two, which is very tight, you have to try to release the throttle a little bit with a good turning angle to take the corner as fast as possible. While turn three is one of the most complicated, since in this part the cars tend to get very loose, especially at the entrance, and you also have to downshift to have a greater acceleration.
Este último punto mencionado, el tener que bajar de marcha en la caja de cambio, es que hace que este óvalo sea particular, puesto que solo ocurre en esta pista. Si mal no recuerdo, se debe bajar a tercera en las curvas uno y tres. Esto es difícil de hacer y aunado a lo complicada de las curvas, es uno de los sitios más complicado de todo el calendario. Lo más impresionante es lo largo de la recta principal, lo cual hace que los adelantamientos se den en el final de la recta, en la frenada para tomar la 1, aunque también se puede dar en plena aceleración, todo depende de la salida de la curva tres.
