Denzel Dumfries tuvo un partido excelente el día de hoy, el jugador holandés fue determinante para que su equipo venciera a los Estados Unidos y se clasificará a los cuartos de final, lugar donde enfrentarán a la Argentina de Lionel Messi.
Ver jugar a Dumfries siempre es algo que me gusta hacer, en el Inter de Milan sus subidas son constantes, y aunque a veces lo hace de lateral, con la naranja mecánica ha participado en todos los encuentros como carrilero.
El partido estaba tenso, Estados Unidos había marcado el gol del descuento y quedaban solo 15 minutos del tiempo reglamentario, los norteamericanos estaban volcados al ataque en busca del empate, pero en una contra holandesa se olvidaron del "tren" que llegaba solo a espaldas de los defensores para empalmarla en el aire y anotar así el gol que sellaría el partido. Ese tren era Denzel Dumfries, y con esa definición coloco la cereza del pastel a su buena participación.

Holanda le pasó por encima a los Estados Unidos, particularmente espere un juego más parejo, pero el planteamiento de Louis Van Gaal fue perfecto. El experimentado técnico neutralizo el juego norteamericano con una marcación de hombre a hombre en la mitad de la cancha, sumado a eso aplicó una presión alta y un juego al contragolpe. Con su estrategia no muy vistosa para muchos pudo obtener una victoria sin contratiempos.
