Tengo muchos equipos favoritos dentro de los diferentes torneos futbolísticos que existe, pero uno de los que más sigo es la selección nacional de Italia, que al grito de "Forza Azurra" me han dejado varios momentos memorables para recordar siempre, pero creo que nunca me había emocionado tanto como en el partido final de la copa del mundo que se disputo en Alemania el 09 de julio del año de 2006, donde se disputaron el campeonato frente a la también aguerrida selección de Francia.

Debo admitir, que el desarrollo del partido no fue tan emocionante... incluso la prensa llegó a catalogarlo como una de las finales más aburridas de la historia, pero digamos que la tensión creció cuando luego de haber terminado los 90 minutos reglamentarios, más el tiempo de prorroga, el marcador igualaba a uno, ocasionando la temida ronda de penaltis.

La squadra azurra se llevo el triunfo tras las anotación de Pirlo, Materazzi, De Rossi, Del Piero y Grosso mientras que los galos Wiltord, Abidal y Sagnol lograron burlar a uno de los mejores arqueros del mundo Gianluigi Buffon lo que dejo el marcador en 5 goles para los italianos contra 3 de los franceses, y de esta manera Italia se corono como campeón del mundo por cuarta vez en su historia.

Uno de los momentos más históricos y polémicos del partidos fue el famoso "cabezazo" proporcionado por el Frances Zinedine Zidane al italiano Marco Materazzi por una razón que aún no ha sido del todo aclarada, pero el hecho de que el italiano fue el encargado, por el técnico Marcello Lippi, de marcar al Frances, quien ya había anotado el primer gol de su equipo, se prestó para determinados cruces de palabras entre ambos jugadores y dio paso a la reacción agresiva de Zidane ocasionado su expulsión en el que ya había anunciado, seria su último partido antes de su retiro oficial.

Siento un amor profundo por mi selección: La Vinotinto, así pierda mil veces, no me importa, MI SANGRE SIEMPRE SERÁ VINOTINTO, pero reconozco de que después de Venezuela, siento a la selección italiana como una de mis favoritas y siempre celebraré sus triunfos como una azurra más.

Esta Copa del Mundo también fue muy especial para mi, porque otras de mis selecciones favoritas, es la de Alemania, los anfitriones en ese mundial, que no tuvieron precisamente su mejor desempeño en ese año, pero que igual son dignos de mi admiración.

Así que, sin duda, que la final del mundial de futbol Alemania 2006 es mi momento deportivo de la historia.

This World Cup was also very special for me, because another of my favorite teams is Germany, the hosts in that World Cup, who did not have their best performance that year, but they are still worthy of my admiration.

So, without a doubt, the final of the 2006 World Cup in Germany is my sporting moment in history.
