UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2021 - 2022 [ESP-ENG]
¡Arranca una nueva edición de la UEFA Champions League! Ya estamos pensando cómo ver los partidos de nuestro equipo favorito, los de otros equipos buenos que sabemos que prometen, por sus jugadores, historia y momentos en los que viven. Estamos armando los Fantasy y otros juegos en la página oficial de la UEFA. Hablando con otros compañeros acerca de lo que se espera ver en éste año. Hoy les hablaré un poco de lo que se puede esperar de ésta edición.
A new edition of the UEFA Champions League kicks off! We are already thinking about how to watch the matches of our favorite team, those of other good teams that we know promise, because of their players, history and moments in which they live. We are putting together Fantasy and other games on the official UEFA website. Talking with other colleagues about what we expect to see this year. Today I'll tell you a little bit about what to expect from this edition.
GRUPO DE LA MUERTE // DEATH GROUP
Grupo A // Group A
Dos de las plantillas más importantes de éste año. Ya sabemos de los fichajes de alto octanaje que realizó el PSG, y lo mejor fue el precio de todos. En cuanto a ésta competición, destacan Sergio Ramos y Leonel Messi, quienes vienen de equipos que han estado presentes en cinco de las últimas siete finales del certamen, y por cierto, se coronaron campeón en todas ellas. Jugadores probados y calificados, respetados por otras oncenas, con conocimiento de su influencia que pueden tener en su equipo y el resultado. Hace un par de años fue una de esas dos finales en las que no estuvo el uno o el otro, y aparece el nombre de Georginio Wijnaldum, quien con el futbol Heavy Metal del Liverpool pudo coronarse campeón en 2019 en la recordada final inglesa. En esa ocasión, del otro lado estaba en el banquillo Mauricio Pochettino, quien dirigía a los Spurs. Y no olvidamos que Hakimi, quien también arribó al club en ésta última ventana de fichajes integró al Real Madrid en su coronación del año 2018. El PSG ya tenía importantes nombres que han levantado la orejona en competiciones anteriores, pero ahora ha agregado más, ¡y de qué manera! Sin duda, es la competición que quiere, y parece estar haciendo lo necesario para obtenerla.
Pero el cabeza de Grupo es el Manchester City, otro que ha querido obtener a toda costa ser campeón en la competición en los años recientes. Con una plantilla sumamente profunda, con calidad, juventud y experiencia, es capaz de luchar en todos los frentes, como lo ha hecho en años anteriores. Puede montar poderosos equipos sin despeinarse en la Premier League, Capital Cup, FA Cup y la Champions con tan solo unos días de diferencia entre uno y otro, rotando a sus jugadores quienes saltan al terreno con hambre de victoria, de ver minutos y mostrar al técnico que puede seguir contando con él con más frecuencia de la que cree. Y hablando del técnico, es el archiconocido Pep Guardiola. Aunque no es uno de mis favoritos, su futbol gusta mucho dentro de la escena mundial, ganador de éste torneo y sabe manejar plantillas con nombres importantes. Está en el club claramente para ayudarlo a consagrarse en la máxima competencia de clubes del viejo continente, ¿podrá éste año? La base del equipo sigue siendo la misma, con la baja del máximo goleador histórico del equipo (Sergio Agüero) pero con el importante fichaje del inglés Jack Grealish quien está dando su mejor versión en el club ciudadano en lo que va de competición local. Otro equipo que siente el peso de la afición a querer ganar la UEFA Champions League.
Leipzig, un nombre que ha sonado los últimos años en Alemania y Europa. Para muestra un botón: el último año fue eliminado por el PSG en semifinales, ¡semifinales! De un equipo tan nuevo y una plantilla tan joven. Ya sabemos lo que puede hacer el futbol alemán, una liga donde hay orden, estrategia y cambios de ritmos constantes. Aún recordamos la final alemana del año 2013, donde el Bayern Munich se coronó ante el vistoso Borussia Dortmund. Éste equipo volverá a estar en el lente de los aficionados de futbol de Europa a ver cómo harán su trabajo ante los otros dos equipos armados con capitales mucho mayores. De seguro su objetivo de primer plano no será conformarse con quedar terceros e ir a la Europa League. Grandes partidos! El primero: Manchester City - Leipzig.
Y llega el campeón de Bélgica: el Club Brujas. Acostumbrado a ser uno de los más ganadores en los torneos locales, no es así en el torneo continental. Su mayor logro fue allá en 1978, cuando llegó a ser subcampeón. Para llegar de nuevo a ese punto tiene un largo camino que recorrer, y una fase de grupo que parece un hueso duro de roer. Sin embargo, ésto es futbol.

Grupo B. El cabeza de grupo, el Atlético de Madrid, quien nunca ha ganado la Champions será perseguido por tres equipos que sí lo han hecho: Liverpool, Oporto y AC Milan. Hay mucha historia en esos cotejos, pero el presente de cada uno es diferente, quizás es el inglés quien lleve un paso más adelante, quien ha recuperado jugadores importantes que estaban lesionados y ahora ve con optimismo ésta nueva campaña. El Oporto hace un buen trabajo al superar la fase de grupo en los últimos eventos. Y el Milan se presenta con el laureado Zlatan Ibrahimovic, acompañado del ganador de la copa del mundo y champions league, Olivier Giroud. Les agradecemos a Stefan Savic, Mario Hermoso, Pepe, Matip y Van Dijk que por favor tomen nota de ésos nombres.
Grupo D. Casi resulta un grupo calcado del año anterior. ¿Habrán aprendido los equipos a medirse el uno al otro? La psicología en esos partidos será tremenda. El recuerdo de ese delirante grupo del año pasado aún estará fresco en algunos de los jugadores, y podría hacerles pasar un mal rato. Inter y Real Madrid llegan con entrenadores diferentes, y serán los principales encargados de cambiarle la cara y las ideas a estos grandes equipos, y que puedan pasar la fase de Grupo sin mayores contratiempos. Claro, el Shakhtar dará la pelea. ¡Cómo olvidar lo que hicieron con el Real Madrid en la temporada pasada! ¿Qué plan tendrá el Sheriff? Queremos verlo.
Grupo H. El campeón actual Chelsea se esconde agazapado en el último grupo. La Juventus está presente. Su última copa de Champions la levantó allá en el año 1996, y desde entonces, ha llegado a última instancia en cinco oportunidades, cayendo derrotados por alemanes, españoles y sus compatriotas de Milán. Serán partidos con fortaleza física y rose. El Zenit también sabe de ésta materia, y siempre hará valer sus partidos de local para enfriar los ataques de los visitantes. El Malmo estará pellizcando resultados a ver qué puede sacar a su favor.
Grupo E. El Bayern pasará, y si FC Barcelona no levanta, podría quedar fuera de competición en ésta fase.
Con el debido respeto, los Grupos C y G son los menos emocionantes que veo, sólo por los nombres. Cualquiera tiene igual oportunidad de pasar a la fase de grupo. En el Grupo F, el Manchester United tiene una buena oportunidad de lucirse con CR7 de vuelta, y dejar que Villarreal y Atalanta se jueguen por la segunda plaza. Young Boys aprovechará la vitrina mundial para exhibir su mejor futbol.

Gracias Real Madrid por dejar claro que ya no podemos pensar así. El Chelsea tapó el hueco del delantero centro de una forma contundente, trayendo a un muy diferente Romelu Lukaku, quien cuenta con el apoyo de la afición del estadio y de quienes lo ven por televisión. Hay una sensación de felicidad en el club, quien conserva a Jorginho, con un excelente año, levantando dos importantes copas. El entrenador logró dar su toque aleman a su plantilla y espera evitar el pensar relajado de "Ganamos todo el año pasado", "El oponente ya nos teme y no será dificil". Parece que pensamientos así se han apoderado de los jugadores en ocasiones anteriores, cuando se les ha visto desorientados, desmotivados y sin capacidad de recuperarse ante golpes tempranos en los primeros minutos. Con todo, es el equipo para ver éste año.
