Round Trip to South

It was last week's holiday that we decided to have a roadtrip, once again. We opted to have a round trip going to South. We preferred here since it always feels good to travel along coastal roads and that's what the trip to south of Cebu offers us.

Since it was holiday, it is a common sense that the beaches are full. Top tourists destinations in south such as Basdaku in Moalboal, Kawasan and Canyoneering in Badian and Whale watching in Oslob were full-packed with tourists, locals and foreign. So our goal was just to explore the places and enjoy the view we get to pass by.

As we were on our roadtrip, we were entertained by these coastal views. The sea was calling my name yet the heat of the sun made me hesitant to even go out of the vehicle. We were talking about things, sometimes things that don't matter at all. 🤣 We did not run out of topics to talk about. Even the smallest details of the things that we get to pass by, we would love to expound it, including this cherry blossom like flowers.

We were sharing thoughts as how the road going to south is being widened and underconstruction. It gives comfort to the drivers in travelling, yet, if not responsible enough, could lead to accidents because other drivers became reckless in driving, too confident to speed up the vehicle because of the wide road. Knowing the overthinker person that I am, he drives with utmost care and certainty.

Moving on, we still got to enjoy the travel since we had the luxury of time. And as we passed by Badian, specifically Barangay Matutinao where Kawasan Falls is nestled, vehicles were everywhere. Truly, tourists flocked here.

I get to share also how I love to visit churches, especially the old ones. I was able to have a glimpse of Samboan, Santander and Oslob churches.

OSLOB CHURCH

I was able to take photos of their facade. I was mesmerized by their structure especially the Oslob church. Its structure and color made it more aesthetic to look at, somehow giving me a much peaceful vibe.

Where the church is situated is away from vehicle noises, thus, giving each churchgoer the calmess their heart ask for. It gives so much tranquility that shuts down all our fears and worries in life. It provides quiteness that what we can only hear is the assurance that God is always with us.

On the other side of the church is this unfinished structure which I think is the "The Ruins of the South" because it truly resembles the name. Parallel to the church entrance is a chapel in all white. At the back of it is a park, facing the shore where family and friends can spend quality time.

We had our lunch and had a quick stop in this area. Across is the famous Sumilon island. The view is truly remarkable.
