Family bonding and eating delicious food in a new place is the best quality time we can ever spend. I am so thankful we can have it once in a while. If only we could do it oftentimes, we will, but we had limited time and resources. So, having this kind of happening is so valuable and worth keeping for us.
Please allow me to share our unlimited "samgyupsal" family bonding.
It was when my sister-in-law's car needs to be changed oil that she asked her brother, my husband, to drive it to the MG shop in Minglanilla, Cebu. Without a doubt, Daddy said yes and planned to bring us, (Me, Jewel, and Janneah) with him and take the time to have a family road trip/bonding.
It was a travel going to MG Shop heeding Cebu South Branch. Had a quick stop/tour to SM Seaside and took a few pictures there. First time to get inside SM Seaside because in the previous blog, we were not able to go inside due to emergency health problems. Planning to have our lunch because it was already past 10 in the morning but decided not to and just let the kids play for half an hour before heading to the shop.
We arrived at the Shop almost 12noon and we felt hungry already especially the kids who lost lots of energy from playing at the kid zone. Daddy took the car to the in charge and the three of us went to look for a restaurant in the next building. As we were looking, we saw the post on the wall saying UNLIMITED SAMGYUPSAL for 299 Php only.
We then choose that restaurant and entered into order and took a rest from the hot weather outside while waiting. Their tables had a "doorbell"🤣🤣 I don't what is the exact term but if there's a new customer they just press the button and it will sound on the counter letting the in charge know they will order. But we had not used it because I did not know it was there.
Daddy came and tried to divert Janneah's incoming tantrums because she was already very hungry 😁. She kept on complaining about why we are so late.
After minutes of waiting, we received our orders, and we were so very excited about how to cook them because we were all hungry. Two kinds but all pork. The thinly sliced pork and the cube chopped one and of course the lettuce. They also have unlimited side dishes, pipino, steamed potatoes, banana chips, and three others (I forgot what's the term).
It was a lot of pork. I cannot imagine how we can eat it all. Two hundred ninety-nine pesos is all worth it. I cooked first the bacon sliced for it was the fastest one to be cooked and then the marinated chopped pork. My apologies, I don't know the terms that's why I was just describing it.
We were so very hungry that we were always out of cooked pork 🤣. This was my second time eating samgyup and I still find myself ignorant when it comes to this food, especially using chopsticks for the first time (please don't judge me 😁). But because of difficulties in using chopsticks, we requested a spoon and fork.
Janneah was enjoying practicing using chopsticks. I also was learning how to use it and every time I can get food using it was a feeling of success, haha.
We only had an additional order of lettuce, and the rest of the food was more than enough for the four of us. We spent one and a half hours inside the restaurant so that we could eat the rest of the food and have a few leftovers. At the same time have a longer moment there.
We were so very full and enjoyed our family bonding and eating the unlimited samgyupsal. This was one of the memories to keep and cherish. So grateful I can look back on our sweet memories together here in my life's journal on HIVE.
