HIVE Camp 2021: Petanque Turnier

Intro

Nach all den schönen Naturbildern gibt es jetzt einmal einen ganz anderen Post über das HIVE Camp 2021. Die Anforderungen an die Contentkreatoren waren sehr hoch, galt es doch die Anonymität die Teilnehmer zu wahren. Da sich fast alle in die Listen für keine Bilder eintrugen verzichte ich komplett auf Menschenbilder. Schade, von anderen Veranstaltungen dieser Art kenne ich es anders. So bleibt Euch geehrten Lesern einfach nichts anderes übrig als beim nächsten Mal selbst dabei zu sein, solltet ihr wissen wollen wie die Gesichter hinter den Namen aussehen. Aber nun zum Inhalt des heutigen Artikels: Petanque oder einfach gesagt Boule oder primitiv ausgedrückt Boccia.

But now to the content of today's article: Petanque or, to put it simply, boules or, in primitive terms, boccia.

Vorbereitungen / Preparations

Das Turnier war fest eingeplanter Bestandteil des Camps. Dazu wurden wirklich keine Kosten und Mühen gescheut um eine perfekte, technisch hoch qualitative Bahn auf der grünen Wiese entstehen zu lassen. Da sowohl @blue.rabbit als auch @leosoph über Turnierkugeln verfügten nehme ich an die Idee dazu wurde gemeinschaftlich ausgeheckt. Einige andere Teilnehmer sind ebenfalls mit Kugeln angereist und so hatten wir immer genug Kugeln in verschiedenen Farben und Mustern um die Teams auseinander zu halten. Bei meiner Ankunft war die Bahn noch im Rohzustand aber schon bald war auch der letzte Haufen Sand verteilt und gerecht auf die Fläche verteilt. Die Trainingsphase konnte also beginnen!

The tournament was an integral part of the camp. In addition, no expense or effort was spared to create a perfect, technically high-quality track on the green field. Since both @blue.rabbit and @leosoph had tournament balls, I assume the idea was concocted jointly. Some other participants also came with balls and so we always had enough balls in different colors and patterns to tell the teams apart. When I arrived, the track was still in its raw state, but soon the last pile of sand was distributed and fairly distributed over the surface. So the training phase could begin!

Regeln / Rules

Nach den ersten Unstimmigkeiten über die Regeln habe ich einfach die aktuellen Regeln heruntergeladen, sie studiert und ließ mich dann zum Schiedsrichter ernennen. Kurz gesagt wir spielen nach den vereinfachten Regeln, aber sobald es ernst wird treten die offiziellen Regeln in Kraft. Nach dem die Teilnehmerliste erstellt wurde war klar dass wir Doublette spielen werden. Das ist die am meisten gespielte Formation bei Turnieren, sie besteht aus 2 Spielern mit je 3 Kugeln. 14 Teilnehmer macht dann 7 Mannschaften. Als Paarungssystem wählte ich das Schweizer System, wir waren ja schließlich in der Schweiz. Dazu instalierte ich eine App, legte die Mannschaften an und die Auslosung begann.

After the first disagreements about the rules, I simply downloaded the current rules, studied them and then had myself appointed as referee. In short, we play by the simplified rules, but as soon as things get serious, the official rules come into effect. After the list of participants was drawn up, it was clear that we would play doubles. This is the most frequently played formation in tournaments, it consists of 2 players with 3 balls each. 14 participants makes 7 teams. I chose the Swiss system as the pairing system, after all, we were in Switzerland. To do this, I installed an app, created the teams and the draw began.

Das Turnier / The Tournament

Es wurden 6 Runden gespielt, jeweils eine Mannschaft hatte spielfrei und bekam einen Punkt geschenkt. Die Ergebnisse sind in der Tabelle zu sehen. Eine Zahl auf dem Tabellenbild ist falsch! Für die erste richtige Korrektur gibt es einen Sonderbonus von 3 HBD! Die Spiele dauerten lange, fast zu lange. Nach dem ersten Tag hatten wir gerade einmal die Hälfte der Partien gespielt, und das von Morgens bis tief in den Abend hinein mit Hilfe von Flutlicht, das natürlich auch extra installiert wurde. Aufgrund der in der Einleitung bereits erwähnten Einschränkungen folgen nun die wichtigsten Bilder des Events.

After the first day we had only played half of the games, and that from morning until late in the evening with the help of floodlights, which of course were also installed separately. Due to the restrictions already mentioned in the introduction, the most important pictures of the event now follow.
