Two Two Three

it says in the latest contribution of @detlev to the 223rd #Beersaturday. This week there is also again from me to this a contribution that I want to share with you.

This year we did not plant potatoes in our garden and could not harvest our own potatoes here.

However, a farmers market near us has the offer to harvest the potatoes themselves from the field. We had promised our daughter and her best friend here a long time ago to pick some potatoes here.
So we set out on Saturday morning to harvest potatoes.

Many families were in the field this Saturday and also harvested potatoes.

A harvesting machine already ensured that the potatoes were taken out of the ground. So we only had to pick them up.
The buckets actually filled up pretty quickly. Unfortunately, only of the variety "Laura" (the red potatoe), which we particularly like, was not so much left.

A few places in the field were unfortunately already colonized with potato beetles. We left these potatoes lying around. There were enough for everyone.

After half an hour we had filled six buckets. The apples were from the garden of friends and the pumpkins were stolen by the dwarves from the field.
We paid € 12,00 for six buckets of potatoes.

At home, the potatoes were then first temporarily stored. At this time, the actual reason for this article joined.

The Red Ale from the Rye River Brewing Company from Ireland I had brought me some time ago at Lidl. Lidl occasionally offers beers from this brewery. I've already picked up a few here and tried them. So far, they have all been good.

Und ein bisschen was vom Etikett:

And here are a few key data about the beer:

And a bit from the label:

Of course, the "Reds" glass was the best match for the Red Ale. Here, the beer also makes a great figure. The color is not red but rather maroon. The crown is coarse-pored and also remains for some time.
On the aroma, you can actually detect roasted aromas and the hops.

The taste is as promised malty-sweet
and the hops and roasted malt also come to the fore. A hint of black berries is also perceptible.

Beer Conclusion:

A solid red ale which you can drink well. However, since it costs more than the Kilkenny Red Ale, I would always prefer the Kilkenny.
