Beer Tasting: Erl Hell & Blau Weisse

Hello, beer tasters! 🍻 😎 🍻

It's lucky that today is #beersaturday, so after an intense week, I can retreat to my hole where I can do my favorite activity, which is written in my profile (Content producer, curator, and sharer) and nobody bothers me.

If you are reading this, are you thinking about participating in HiveFest6 - Return To Metaverse?
Last year was the first time, I even bought Oculus Quest2 because of it (it's now non-stop in use, my younger son uses it quite a lot, almost daily). It was an interesting experience, I met @detlef and other developers of our dPOS social network.
I even opened Club Seckorama, with Party loops videos, streamed into directly from my YT account. And directly from my armchair in my hole. Interesting, really.

Well, back on topic, today I decided to have two classic German Bavarian beers.

🍻 😎 🍻

Erl Hell

Brewed by commercial brewery Erl-BrΓ€u, Geiselhoering, Bavaria, Germany. Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 5% ABV. Classic Bavarian Helles beer.
They say:

Artisan brewed with 100% Hallertau natural hops and fresh in taste, as it is neither briefly heated nor pasteurized.

Of course, everything is fresh and tasty. How could it be any other way?

The beer is clean yellow in color, with a solid foam that slowly subsides. And the first sip. Yeah, the beer it is, Yoda would say. It tastes more of malt than hop bitterness. At times I feel like I am eating barley. The hops are more in the background. And it all disappears quickly in the aftertaste. Immediately another sip. Similarly. Again mildly sweet, maybe I'm tasting hay and biscuit aromas. Classic Helles.

A little better than average I'd say, a drinkable beer for sure, but I've tried better. I could drink it behind the bar for quite a while...

Blau Weisse

Brewed by Hohenthanner Schlossbrauerei, Hohenthann, Bavaria, Germany. Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.6% ABV. It's a wheat beer Heffewaizen, refreshing German wheat beer with high carbonation, a fluffy mouthfeel, and a distinctive banana-and-clove yeast character. Ugh! That's from Ratebeer.

And what they say:

BLAU WEISSE is an exceptional beer that reveals its full variety of flavors on the palate. The two hop varieties Hallertauer Cascade and HΓΌll Melon conjure up citrusy impressions with a reminiscence of honeydew melon in the glass.

The beer is cloudy yellow in color, there is not much head, but it lasts for quite some time. In the first sip, I immediately tasted the characteristics of a wheat beer. The aroma of banana and vanilla is dominant, the sweetness is also pronounced and there is no hop bitterness in the background.

Very refreshing and tasty, a mouthful of creamy fruit, especially banana. In the aftertaste, however, it all dies down quickly and, of course, you have to take another sip, but not too carefully, just bravely... and you don't even know when you've emptied the can...

I like this beer more than the previous one. I'd keep it in the fridge in case, among real friends, just in time, the debate turns to wheat beers. And I would proudly offer a Blau Weisse, hey guys, you have no idea what wheat beer is! :)

🍻 😎 🍻

And what am I listening to as I write this? Nothing from my #newtunes post, but I'm wandering back in time to recall memories. Yes, as much as I listen to music, I have to admit I'm a Deadhead. More or less hairless, but that's beside the point. And, when I've had enough of everything, I'll come back.
