Hello beer lovers! ๐ป ๐ ๐ป
How are you doing in these strange times? I went to the seaside for a couple of days, to a place I call my second home.
Anyway, the weather is not the best and what you do when the weather is so cloudy I can only guess, but things are clear to me.
We tasted and shared beers with two friends :)

Actually, when I mentioned that I had "jumped" to the sea, I basically just came to see what the situation was with the caravan and the water and electricity. Everything is working and in place, there is no problem.
The weather is bad, but not so bad that I can't be outside. At the campsite on the island of Pag, Croatia, where I am, the season has not started yet, only a few friends are here.
And of course, everyone has a story and a beer. It will be interesting :) ๐
Just right for #beersaturday 304.
Delirium Argentum

Brewed by Brouwerij Huyghe, Melle, East Flanders, Belgium.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 7.0% ABV, 49 IBU. It's a Belgian IPA style beer, which means that's an IPA with the fruitiness derived from Belgian yeast and it is more complex in taste than ordinary IPAs.
What do the Master Brewers say?
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Delirium Tremens, the beer masters of Brewery Huyghe have developed a special limited edition of the beer, which will only be available for a very short period of time. We already have a unique recipe, but we are still missing a unique label. Limited edition. IPA with 49 EBU. American hop with dry-hopping. Malted barley and wheat malt. Malted barley and wheat malt.
Well, it's something special just by the looks of it. Maybe I should taste it for a special occasion, not somewhere in the middle of nowhere?

The beer is light amber brown in color and has a large head that is very persistent and creamy. I had to wait a while to take my first sip. It goes down the throat smoothly, first I taste the sweetness of the malt and the spices, only later the bitterness of the hops and some citrus aromas. Slightly spicy.
The hop bitterness remains in the aftertaste and there is some head in the glass.

Beer is drinkable but very complex. Lots of different flavors, but maybe not the best balanced for my taste. I found it more like a hoppy lager than an IPA.
Let's move on!
La Biรจre du Dรฉmon

Brewed by [Brasserie Goudale (Les Brasseurs de Gayant)], Arques, Hauts-de-France, France.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 12.0 % ABV, 18 IBU. It's a strong lager style.
What do the Master Brewers say?
The Dรฉmon 12ยฐ is a very high-density blond beer. It's brewed with a quantity of malt greater than that which usually goes into the composition of a beer, inoculated with a special yeast, and subjected to a fermentation of about 15 days. Strong lager, Kieselghur filtered and then force-carbonated.
Its powerful alcoholic aroma, sweetness, and refreshing side make it a wonderful aperitif beer. It is blond, dense, tasty, and long in the mouth. 12 degrees of diabolic pleasure.
I bought it in Trieste, Italy, in a Coop shop out of pure curiosity when I saw it contained 12% alcohol :)

The beer is pale yellow in color, with almost no head. It has no smell. The first sip passes quickly through the throat, and in the mouth, I taste first the sweetness and then the burning and metallic taste of the alcohol. Maybe a little honey. No hop bitterness.

It's not for me. Maybe this beer is drinkable for some people, but it doesn't work for me. Especially with that metallic taste that suggests a high alcohol content.
If this was a Belgian triple/quadruple beer where you hardly feel the alcohol, it would be fine.

So we went on, changing location by a few dozen meters, where my friend had a surprise: a case of beer. Wonderful, isn't it? :)
O'Hara's Tropical IPA

Brewed by O'Hara's Brewery (Carlow Brewing Company), Bagenalstown, County Carlow, Ireland.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 7.2% ABV.
It's a hazy IPA or New England IPA style, very fruity and less bitter than traditional IPAs.
What do the Master Brewers say?
An IPA bursting with flavors of Tangerine, Papaya, Citrus, and Mango with a creamy mouthfeel.
A golden, hazy, yellow-colored beer with a malt base due to the addition of oats, wheat, and barley malts that is brewed using plenty of our favorite hops including Mosaic, Azaca, and El-Dorado. A juicy, malt, sweetness is complimented by additional flavors from dry hopping with Citra and Mosaic hops.
Well, that will be something for me, for sure.

The beer is a cloudy golden color, there is little head but it is creamy. It smells fruity. The first sip goes down the throat quickly, and I immediately taste a pleasant bitterness, not too much, and the palate develops tropical flavors of grapefruit, papaya, mango, and citrus.
In the aftertaste, the tropical aromas disappear and the bitterness lingers for a while.
A very drinkable and juicy beer, maybe because the previous ones were not to my taste. In any case, a very fine beer, if the weather had been sunnier it would probably have been even better.
Of course, this tasting was not without music, and I usually choose it.
Nothing from my last #newtunes post.
At sea I have an older Cambridge Audio bluetooth speaker through which we used to listen to
Be Svendsen - Bones

And a final reward question.
The first one to answer correctly in comments gets 3 BEER tokens from me :)
There were 12 bottles of O'Hara's Tropical IPA in the box. How many are left?
Thank you for your attention!
