For this #beersaturday adventure, look what I happened to find at the food co-op today. Yes and yes. I knew there were a few new Toppling offerings out and about, but they typically sell out quickly. Fortunately, my daughter and I were able to find it in the liquor section today while my wife did the "boring" grocery shopping.
Well, I won't kid around on this one; this beer is AWESOME. I just gave it a 4.50/5.00 on Untappd, it's that good. The taste on this double is very smooth. It starts sweet, moves into bitter and then dry, then back to bitter. I don't recall drinking anything with a hop profile like this one:
This is a classic Iowa DIPA. You want to drink it quickly because it tastes so good, but with a hidden 7.8% ABV beneath it all, it could get hazy quickly. Like the IPA is -
The beer is highly recommended! Look at my luck with this production date, too:
The packaging is pretty slick too. There is another little write-up on the wrap that had the old Sagesigma briefly intrigued...
Analog Don, eh? Well, I had to run it through a gematria calculator for fun, and sure enough, someone down there has done so Gnostic homework. Analog Don equates to Bitcoin, The Magician, the God Code, and even Nimrod. Yikes...I think I need to get another beer here.
Gnostic simulation fun aside, what else did we do for a #beersaturday? I did get that marsh walk in earlier that I posted today. That actually was quite challenging as I was wading through some mud. To get back some energy, not only did I start drinking these, but we also made some homemade pizzas for dinner.
We made a pepperoni and cheese pie, an Italian sausage, mushroom, and bell pepper pie, and pepperoni, mushroom, and pepper pie. Not a bad Saturday night, all in all, despite the archons popping up.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my #beersaturday fun. If you are a beer lover too and want to join the fun, please check out detlev's project here :
