For this #beersaturday, I had to sneak over to Minnesota to pick up a new beer to try. With some luck, I found a fresh new hazy IPA from the Wisconsin brewer Untitled Art. As much as I wanted to find a new Iowa beer, I figured "hey, let's mix it up this week and try something new."
Not at all what I was expecting! This one was low on hoppiness but high on a fruit taste. When you look at the hop bill, it makes some sense. Lots of sweet-tasting hops from across the globe are tucked into this one.
It's a strong one coming in at 7% ABV. I gave it 3.75 / 5.00 on Untappd. It's a good, solid beer, and the hops are very fruity, but I am spoiled by Toppling. When I drink a hazy, I want to taste the pulp in the beer...and this one is close, but not quite there.
So was I just sitting here drinking a beer this afternoon...not quite! I actually visited a local butcher shop earlier today and picked up six German-style bratwursts. So while enjoying this beer outside, I started up the grill:
And cooked up a few brats for dinner.
Add some sauerkraut, yellow mustard, and another New Zealand pint, and Saturday night dinner was complete. I may have to finish up this four pack tonight too...it is Saturday night after all.
Hoping everyone out there is having a wonderful weekend and Saturday evening. Until next week...
