Reunion Beer and Something Yellow for the 222nd Beer Saturday

Welcome Beer Lovers of the World

This is my entry for the 222nd Beer Saturday Challenge and a little story about being lost in translation. After being grounded in my hometown Berlin for about a year and a half because of "you know what has the name of a beer but is none" (that's kind of a double pun 😜😂) ... where was i? Ah, yes ... After that i was back on the road again for work a few weeks ago. The first two congress jobs took place in Marseille and Paris back to back so we called it our "Tour de France". Starting in Marseille meant meeting all the teams again in a beautiful location with perfect sunny summer weather, just perfect for a lot of ice cold Feierabendbier, i guess that's called somewhat like After Work Beer in english, but correct me if i'm wrong and there's a more common word for it. Anyway, let's start with a shot of our very first reunion beer just across the street of the venue (Short distances to Feierabendbier are always a good thing).

Cheers Everybody!

Finally, meeting the guys on the road again, yeah!

Great! Sunny, summer like temperatures, everybody back on the track and the meeting spot for the Feierabendbier in Marseille was set, all good. The next day we arrived a little later at the bar and the booth builders were already there, sitting in front of really bulky looking glasses filled with something bright yellow that definitely looked way more like a lemonade than a beer. "What the heck is that?" we were asking them. They told us a story about germans, speaking broken english to a french waitress in Marseille that ended up having this bright yellow stuff in big bulky glasses on the table. Since it was served just a second ago they were still discussing whether to try out that strange brewer or to clear up the misunderstanding. As curious as we are we voted to not stress the waitress with more translation confusion and for giving that yellow stuff a try and ... CHEERS!

🍻 That Yellow Stuff 🍻

Cheers Everybody!

Oh boy, did we regret that decision! 😜 It was definitely refreshing, but you really have to be a fan of this stuff to like the aftertaste of what turned out to be
Belgian Wheat Beer!

We drank it, we forgot it and ordered the next round. The booth builders learned that ordering "White Beer" gives you yellow belgian wheat beer, brewed by monks (someone looked it up on the web) with an aftertaste like ... no i don't say it out loud 😜 and we all learned that it's best to just order STELLA here! That's ok, that tastes good, no aftertaste, that works after work and from now on all was good with our Feierabendbier ... CHEERS!

🍻 Another Round of STELLA, Please! 🍻

Cheers Everybody!

Glugg, Glugg, Zisch ... AAAAHHH, that's more like it! 🍻 Sorry, fellow belgian beer lovers, no offense, i tasted some of your brewers, but your beers are not for everyone! I like your fries and your chocolate a lot though 😋
