Beer Saturday New England IPA and Fajitas

Back for a cold one

I missed out on Beer Saturday last week, so I was adamant to get a virtual beer in with the beer Saturday crew this Saturday. I've a nice tasty New England IPA on the menu this week.

This is a special week too, as it is week 222, and the bossman @detlev wants us to invite a friend in for a beer. This week of #BeerSaturday, I like to invite @edprivat, @livinguktaiwan and @ewkaw to write a post about beer with min. 3 pics in any language.

I was supposed to invite one, but sure I'm Irish, so I'm going to bring three friends and we can make a party of it! Here is @detlev's call to arms if ye want to join us this week for beer Saturday folks:

The White Hag Atlantean New England IPA

What they say

Our Atlantean beer is inspired by mythological sea journeys which took curious voyagers beyond the ninth wave in search of the magical Otherworlds and the secret treasures they held. For this IPA our inspiration has travelled back from the other lands of New England across the cloudy foam of the Atlantic.

DESCRIPTION
In this creamy and cloudy IPA we use copious amounts of American hops to add a big, juicy, fruity punch. Oats and lactose add a rich creaminess that subdues the bitterness, making this beer similar to a hopshake. Drink this beer as fresh as possible, when all the Alpha & Beta oils from the hops are the most powerful.

TASTING NOTES
New England IPAs are beers that are purposely hazy or cloudy, which can give these brews a smooth, creamy mouthfeel with little to no hop bitterness at the end utilizing hops that impart a tropical, juicy sweetness rather than the classic bitter.

This went down lovely with a some spicy chicken Fajitas. Beer and fajitas! Whats not to like, eh!

It poured a nice hazy color with a head that disappeared quickly. The fruity hoppy notes were there to be appreciated. I love a nice hoppy IPA that packs a little punch. This one was unfiltered and unpasteurised, with a nice aroma of tropical fruits, pine and spruce as soon as it was cracked open. The flavour had some tasty tropical fruits with a slight sweetness, followed by sprucey aftertaste which I like in an IPA.
